In this article, Highline Wellness breaks down the differences between hemp and CBD so that you can make an informed decision about which one might be right for your needs.
The hemp plant belongs to the Cannabis Sativa plant family. It has been cultivated for thousands of years and is widely used for its versatile properties. Hemp contains low levels of THC (less than 0.3%), the psychoactive compound found in marijuana. Hemp is used to make a variety of products, including food, clothing, construction materials, and beauty products.
Hemp fibers are known for their strength and durability, which make them ideal for crafting rope, paper, and textiles. Hemp seeds are rich in protein, fiber, and omega-3 healthy fats, making them a popular food additive. Hemp oil is another product made from the plant, which can be used for cooking and skin care.
Hemp is considered an environmentally friendly crop due to the limited need for pesticides and herbicides to aid its growth. Hemp plants have an affinity to absorb toxins from the soil, which makes them great for phytoremediation, a process that can help clean up contaminated land.
It's been suggested that hemp may help with anxiety, inflammation, and other conditions. While research is still ongoing, hemp-derived CBD has become a popular form of alternative medicine. However, it’s important to note that CBD is just one of the many compounds found in hemp.
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a natural compound found in hemp plants. It's one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the plant and is widely used for its potential therapeutic properties. Unlike THC, which is commonly found in high concentrations in marijuana and is responsible for the plant's psychoactive effects, CBD is non-psychoactive.
CBD works by interacting with the body's existing endocannabinoid system (ECS), which helps to regulate a variety of bodily functions, including pain, inflammation, sleep, mood, and appetite. The ECS is made up of receptors that respond to cannabinoids, including CBD. When CBD is consumed, it can activate these receptors, which can lead to a variety of potential health benefits.
One of the most well-known benefits of CBD is its ability to alleviate long-standing pain. Studies have found that CBD can help to reduce pain and inflammation by interacting with the body's endocannabinoid and immune systems, making it a viable option for those with conditions such as arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and fibromyalgia.
CBD may also be helpful for those with mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression. Studies have found that CBD may help to reduce anxiety and improve mood by interacting with serotonin receptors in the brain.
It's important to note that not all CBD products are created equal. The quality and purity of CBD products can vary widely, and some products may not contain the amount of CBD listed on the label. It's important to choose products from companies that test their products for purity and potency and provide transparency on their products with public lab testing results.
If you’re considering using a hemp or CBD product, you may be wondering what the differences between these two products are. After all, hemp and CBD come from the same plant – cannabis sativa. The fact is that there are many similarities between these two products, but also important distinctions to note when deciding which is right for your needs.
The biggest difference between hemp and CBD lies in their uses: while hemp is primarily used in industrial applications, such as clothing and paper products, CBD is used for its medicinal properties. CBD has been found to help with a variety of physical and mental conditions. Hemp does not have the same therapeutic effects as CBD and is not typically recommended for medical use.
Ultimately, whether you choose hemp or CBD comes down to what you’re looking for. Hemp is great for industrial uses, but it won't provide the same therapeutic benefits as CBD.
CBD stands for cannabidiol, a chemical compound found in the cannabis plant. Hemp, on the other hand, is a variety of the same plant that contains low levels of THC, the compound that causes a psychoactive effect.
One of the main similarities between CBD and hemp is that they are both legal substances. In the United States, hemp was legalized at the federal level in 2018 as part of the Farm Bill, and CBD derived from hemp is also legal. Some states have not removed hemp from their state's controlled substance acts, so the legality of CBD products differs across states.
Another similarity is that both CBD and hemp have potential health benefits. CBD has been found to have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and anti-anxiety properties, and is often used to treat conditions such as prolonged pain, anxiety, and depression. Hemp, on the other hand, is rich in nutrients such as protein, fiber, and essential fatty acids, and may help to support overall health and wellbeing.
Overall, CBD has the potential to provide therapeutic benefits while hemp can provide nutritional benefits.
Lastly, both CBD and hemp are used in a wide range of products. CBD is commonly found in tinctures, capsules, edibles, and topicals, while hemp is used in foods, clothing, and skincare products. With the increasing popularity of CBD and hemp, we will likely see even more products containing these substances in the future.
Highline Wellness offers a range of high-quality CBD products, from tinctures and capsules to topicals and edibles. We only use THC-free hemp extract in all our products and our team of experts has carefully formulated each product for maximum effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

We hope this guide has helped you understand the differences between hemp and CBD, and better informed your decisions when it comes to incorporating these substances into your lifestyle.
It depends on what you’re looking for. Hemp is known for its industrial uses, while CBD has more therapeutic benefits. So if you’re seeking something to help with specific health issues then CBD might be best for your needs.
No, CBD and hemp are two different things. Hemp is a type of plant that has many uses, while CBD is a chemical compound derived from hemp that’s known for its therapeutic benefits.
CBD is usually more potent than hemp oil, as it contains higher concentrations of cannabidiol. However, both can provide therapeutic benefits depending on your needs.
Hemp products have variable concentrations of cannabinoids, so it’s best to check the label or contact the manufacturer for more information. Generally speaking, most hemp products are unlikely to trigger a positive drug test, but there are still cases with products that undergo prolonged heating without filtration. These products consist of hemp teas and oils that can be more likely to elevate urine levels.
]]>Cannabis and its derivatives have been used for centuries for medicinal and recreational purposes. But in recent years, the spotlight has been on CBD, with people hailing it as a natural remedy for all sorts of health problems. But before you pop a CBD-infused gummy or place a few drops of CBD oil under your tongue, there's one burning question you need to ask: Can you get in trouble with CBD?
The answer to this question is far from simple. The legality of CBD depends on a range of factors, including state and federal laws, the source of the CBD, and how the product is marketed. Whether you're vaping, eating, or simply adding a few drops of CBD oil to your daily routine, the legal waters surrounding this compound can be murky and difficult to navigate.
Today, we'll dive headfirst into the world of CBD legality and uncover the truth about where it stands in the United States. We'll explore the complex web of rules and regulations that determine CBD's legality, and we'll also examine the history of cannabis plants and how it has shaped the current legal landscape.
So, are you ready to unravel the mystery surrounding CBD? Keep reading, and we'll guide you through the legal maze to find out if CBD is truly legal and if you can get in trouble for using it.
Hold on to your hemp hats, folks, because we’re about to take a ride into the wild history of cannabis in America.
You see, from colonial days to the present day, the story of hemp laws and hemp-derived CBD products is filled with drama, tension, and government propaganda.
Believe it or not, hemp has been around since the earliest colonial days, with some colonies mandating farmers to grow the stuff.
George Washington himself grew hemp at Mount Vernon. What’s more, cannabis was listed in the United States Pharmacopeia for medicinal purposes from 1850 to 1937. So, what happened?
Well, in the early 1900s, attitudes toward cannabis started to shift. Racist ideas began to spread, associating cannabis with immigrants and people of color. By the 1930s, government drug warriors (enter Harry Anslinger) began using propaganda and conspiracy theories to whip up public fear about the plant. And with the Marihuana Tax Act of 1937, hemp was effectively banned.
But that was just the beginning of a long and complicated history of cannabis in America. It turns out that several laws continued to target marijuana, such as the Boggs Act of 1951 and the Narcotics Control Act of 1956, which imposed harsher penalties on cannabis-related offenses.
By the Nixon years, the Controlled Substances Act of 1970 made marijuana illegal, which also impacted hemp. As a result, hemp was caught in the crosshairs of the War on Drugs, and it remained largely prohibited until the passage of recent legislation.
You see, thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp has been restored to its rightful place as a legitimate agricultural commodity. This means it’s legal to grow and sell. Of course, there are still legal hurdles to navigate, especially when it comes to products containing hemp-derived cannabinoids. But the bottom line is, we’ve come a long way.
For starters, it’s allowed for the rise of the CBD industry. With the legalization of hemp, companies have been able to extract CBD and use it in a wide range of products, from oils and tinctures to gummies and skincare.
But let's be real, things aren't all sunshine and rainbows for the hemp industry. Even though it's legal to grow and sell hemp, there's still a lot of confusion and misinformation out there. Many people still associate hemp with marijuana, and there are still laws and regulations that need to be ironed out.
While hemp and marijuana may look like two peas in a pod, they're separate plants belonging to the same Cannabaceae family. Let’s dive into what sets these two remarkable plants apart.
In the U.S., hemp is defined as Cannabis sativa L. plants containing 0.3% THC or less. This legal threshold is crucial because it distinguishes hemp from marijuana.
But the cannabis sativa plant is much more than just a legal distinction. Its stalks can be used for creating fabrics and paper, while its seeds can be pressed to produce hemp seed oil. However, it's the hemp flower that's making waves these days, thanks to the potential benefits of CBD. Hemp-derived CBD products have exploded in popularity, with everything from oils and tinctures to gummies and self-care products.
The power of CBD, the compound found in hemp flowers, is undeniable. And with the growing body of research indicating that CBD may offer a wide range of benefits, from producing calming effects to reducing unwanted symptoms, it's no wonder that people are flocking to try it out. So, whether you're looking for a natural way to manage stress or simply want to explore the amazing potential of the hemp plant, there's never been a better time to discover the world of hemp-derived CBD.
First things first, folks tend to mix up "marijuana" and "cannabis" as if they were the same thing, but in reality, cannabis is a much broader term that covers the entire family of plants to which both marijuana and hemp belong.
With that said Marijuana is a type of cannabis plant that typically contains higher levels of THC, a compound that interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system. Compared to CBD, another cannabinoid found in cannabis, THC levels in marijuana are generally much higher.
Marijuana can be classified into different strains, such as Sativa and Indica, based on their chemical composition and effects. Sativa strains typically contain higher levels of THC and lower levels of CBD, while Indica strains have a more balanced ratio of THC to CBD.
Now, Marijuana can be consumed in various forms, including dried flowers, oils, tinctures, and edibles. Some people use marijuana for medicinal purposes, while others use it for recreational purposes. Despite being classified as a Schedule I drug by the federal government, many states have legalized marijuana for medical and/or adult use.
When it comes to marijuana and hemp, the biggest difference between the two is their cannabinoid content. And when it comes to the most well-known cannabinoids, CBD and THC, there are some unique differences to explore. So let's dive in and get a better understanding of what sets these two apart!
CBD and THC are the two most popular cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Although they have a similar chemical makeup, they interact with our bodies in different ways.
For starters, THC, which is found in higher levels in marijuana, can bind to the main cannabinoid receptors in our brain because it has a similar chemical structure to anandamide, a cannabinoid that our body naturally produces. This interaction can cause the "high" sensation that people associate with using marijuana recreationally.
On the other hand, CBD doesn't create the same high sensation as THC. While experts are not exactly sure how CBD interacts with receptors, they believe that it binds differently to THC and may increase the effects of other cannabinoids.
Some studies have also suggested that CBD may bind to other receptors in our body that we haven't discovered yet. This means it doesn't cause the same feeling of being "stoned" or "high”.
With the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, the cultivation, processing, and selling of hemp and hemp-derived products are now legal. However, this does not necessarily mean that CBD is legal in all 50 states.
You see, the 2018 Farm Bill legalized the cultivation of hemp on a federal level, as long as it contains no more than 0.3% THC. And as we mentioned above, THC is the psychoactive compound found in marijuana that causes a “high.” This means that CBD products derived from hemp and containing no more than 0.3% THC are legal on a federal level.
But hold your horses! This doesn't mean that CBD is legal in every state.
However, while the federal government has legalized hemp and CBD, individual states have the right to set their own laws regarding CBD products.
Some states have followed the federal government's lead and legalized hemp and CBD, while others have opted to prohibit it completely.
While the 2018 Farm Bill gave the green light for hemp on a federal level, individual states can still make their own rules and regulations when it comes to hemp and CBD.
Some states have followed the feds' lead and legalized CBD, but others have decided to give it a hard pass. Idaho, Nebraska, and South Dakota are among the states that have strict stipulations regarding the possession, use, or sale of CBD products, regardless of their THC content.
In other states, CBD products are legal but with certain conditions attached. For instance, some states require a doctor's prescription for CBD, while others allow it to be sold over the counter. Certain states also require that CBD products be produced within their borders to be legal.
Before buying any CBD product, it's important to research the laws in your state to avoid getting into any legal trouble. Plus, you'll want to make sure that you're using safe and legal products that won't get you in hot water.
You'll be glad to know that in most states across the US, CBD is legal as long as it meets certain criteria, such as containing no more than 0.3% THC and being produced within the state.
So if you're wondering where CBD is currently legal, here's a quick rundown: states like California, Colorado, and New York have legalized both medicinal and recreational use of CBD, while others like Texas and Florida have legalized it for medical use only.
However, it's important to note that the laws around CBD can vary from state to state, so it's always best to check your local regulations before purchasing or using CBD products.
For a more in-depth overview of where CBD is legal in the US, check out our list below:
Despite the varying laws across different states, the CBD industry is booming. People are turning to CBD products to help alleviate a range of conditions, including anxiety, pain, and insomnia. And with the availability of different forms like oils, tinctures, gummies, and topical creams, there's something for everyone!
When shopping for CBD, you'll want to make sure that you choose a trustworthy brand that's transparent about the source of their hemp and the extraction process used to make the product. You should also check the THC content to ensure that it falls within the legal limit of 0.3%.
While the legal status of CBD may vary depending on where you live, the demand for high-quality products is only increasing. By doing your homework and following state laws, you can safely and legally use CBD products to help improve your health and well-being.
But what about traveling with CBD?
If you're planning to fly with CBD, you need to research the laws of both your departure and destination states. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) policies also come into play.
The TSA considers some CBD oil and marijuana illegal under federal law, except for CBD products that contain less than 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis or are FDA approved.
To sum it up, you can fly with hemp-derived CBD products that comply with the regulations defined by the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, but it's important to be cautious. Always purchase CBD products from reputable companies that have their final products third-party tested to ensure they comply with the regulations. Although the TSA's new guidelines seem promising, flying with CBD still has risks. So, do your research, and fly with caution.
Now, You might be wondering, with CBD being a non-intoxicating cannabinoid, why are there so many rules and regulations surrounding its legality?
Well, it's a bit of a gray area. CBD isn't considered a drug in the traditional sense because it doesn't cause any intoxication or addiction like many other drugs do.
You see, the federal government has approved a CBD-based medication called Epidiolex for specific forms of epilepsy. So, in certain cases, CBD can be classified as a drug.
But don't worry, there's a silver lining. The FDA has given the green light to Epidiolex, a medication that uses purified CBD from hemp, to treat rare seizure disorders. It's a breakthrough for those who suffer from these conditions, and it proves that CBD has real medicinal potential.
It's important to know that not all CBD products are approved by the FDA, which means you need to do your research and speak with a healthcare provider before using any CBD products. To ensure you're getting safe and high-quality products, make sure to only buy from reputable companies that have their final products third-party tested to ensure they follow the regulations.
At Highline Wellness, we believe that buying from a reputable CBD brand is crucial when it comes to purchasing legal CBD products. As a company, we understand the importance of providing customers with high-quality CBD products that are not only safe but also effective.
One of the main reasons why it's important to choose a reputable CBD brand is that the industry is currently unregulated. As a result, many companies can make false claims about the quality of their products. This is why we take great care in sourcing only the best hemp-derived CBD that has been cultivated using the best farming practices.
Furthermore, our CBD products are all formulated in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certified facility. This means that we adhere to strict guidelines and standards set by the FDA, ensuring that our products are of the highest quality.
But we don't stop there. At Highline, we are very adamant about third-party lab testing. This means that all of our products, including our high-quality CBD oils, are thoroughly tested to ensure that they are free from harmful contaminants and safe to consume.
Buying from a reputable CBD brand like Highline Wellness not only ensures the safety and efficacy of your CBD products but also contributes to the overall development and regulation of the CBD industry. By supporting companies that prioritize quality and safety, you are helping to create a demand for more transparent and trustworthy products.
As we conclude, the Farm Bill implementation has opened the floodgates for a wide range of hemp-derived products, with CBD taking center stage. Its demand has skyrocketed, particularly in the medical and nutritional fields, thanks to its remarkable health benefits and disease-fighting capabilities.
CBD's potential in the medical field is immense, with ongoing studies exploring its effectiveness in combating neuropathic diseases. As research continues, we can only expect more groundbreaking discoveries and advancements in CBD's therapeutic potential.
With CBD's increasing popularity and its legal status, it is no doubt that more CBD products and research will emerge in the coming years. As we look to the future, one thing is clear - the CBD revolution is here to stay, and it's only just getting started.
In addition, choosing a reputable CBD brand also provides you with peace of mind. You can trust that you are getting what you paid for and that you are not putting yourself at risk of harmful side effects. This is especially important if you are using CBD for medicinal purposes.
At Highline Wellness, we are committed to providing our customers with the best possible CBD products. We believe in the power of CBD and the positive impact it can have on people's lives. That's why we take every step necessary to ensure that our products are safe, effective, and trustworthy.

Have you ever wondered why your lips sometimes feel dry, chapped, or hot? Well, according to research, the condition of your lips can reveal a lot about what’s going on in your body.
Experts believe that the upper lip is like a crystal ball for your organs, reflecting the health of your lungs, thyroid, heart, stomach, liver, and kidneys. Meanwhile, the lower lip holds the key to the state of your intestines. Who knew that a simple case of dry lips could reveal so much about your body?
But what other deeper messages are your lips trying to convey to you about your overall health?
Here are a few different correlations between the condition of your lips and the inner workings of your body:
If your lips feel as dry as the Sahara desert, your body may be dehydrated. Without water, your lips don’t have enough moisture to keep them supple and plump, so they become rough and cracked.
Psychological emotions can also affect the condition of your lips. Many people report having dry and chapped lips from feeling tense, anxious, and scared.
Other causes of chapped lips include:
Is the skin on your lip flaking off? Do you notice your lips cracking every time you smile, talk, or eat? Well, it might have something to do with the cold weather.
Environmental factors, like colder weather and dry air, can cause your lips to crack and peel. This can be very painful, especially if you’re spending any time outside in those harsh elements, for example, skiing, snowboarding, or sledding.
If your lips are cracking and peeling in the summertime, then you have a vitamin deficiency, or you may just be excessively licking your lips.
Cracked and peeling lips can also be a symptom of heartache, worry, or dryness in the body.
Your body might be struggling with circulation, meaning it's not getting the blood flow it needs.
Poor circulation in the body can lead to a lack of oxygen and nutrients being delivered to the lips, resulting in discoloration or fading. This condition can also be a sign of anemia or other health issues.
Maybe you're not getting enough exercise or your diet is lacking some key nutrients. Whatever the case, your lips are looking a little lackluster.
This condition can be caused by inflammation or excessive heat in the body. It could be from too much spicy food, sugar, alcohol, or caffeine.
Or maybe you're just dealing with some intense emotions like anger, jealousy, resentment, or irritation. Whatever the case, your lips are trying to cool down.
Are your lips looking like a crumpled paper bag? Well, it may be the result of smoking, tension, irritation, worry, or fear. If these habits and emotions are causing wrinkles to form around your upper lip, it might be time for you to quit smoking and practice some mindfulness.
Are your lips shaking or twitching? It could be a sign of fatigue, a weak nervous system, fear, or self-doubt. Your lips are probably saying, "Hey, I need a break, so give me some TLC."
Bottom line: If your lips are feeling less than fabulous, consider using our handy lip health guide above to decipher what your lips might be trying to tell you.
Once you’re able to identify why your lips are acting up, it’s time to give them the proper attention and natural lip treatment they deserve.
If you have chapped lips, it’s time for some much-needed TLC and not just any kind of TLC. We’re talking about organic lip care TLC.
Here’s the thing, the skin on your lips is very thin and sensitive. It’s also incredibly porous. And since your lips are the gateway to your mouth, you need to be extra careful about how to take care of them.
Here are a few tips for preventing chapped lips:
First things first, stop irritating your lips with harsh products that contain tons of questionable ingredients and harsh chemicals.
You might think that the burning, tingling feeling from your chapstick is a sign that the product is working, but it's actually making your lips worse. Switch to non-toxic lip balms and organic chapsticks that won't leave you feeling uncomfortable.
The best non-toxic chapsticks use only the best natural lip balm ingredients that lock in moisture and promote healing. Look for natural lip products, like chemical-free lip balms that use hydrating ingredients like:
To keep your lips hydrated, it's essential to not only use the best all-natural lip moisturizers specially designed for chapped lips, but you need to also apply your healthy lip balm to your lips multiple times a day.
This means you’ve got to have your organic lip moisturizer on you at all times. Be sure to apply a generous amount of your organic chapstick several times during the day, before you head outside, and right before you head to bed.
If you plan on spending the day out in the sun, don’t forget to apply a chemical-free lip balm with SPF 30. Even in the winter, your lips need protection from the sun.
And ladies, there are plenty of non-toxic tinted lip balms available on the market. Remember, the more natural your lip care products are, the healthier your lips will be.
Drinking water not only improves your overall health and digestion, but it can plump up your lips to look supple and healthy.
Remember, one of the main reasons your lips might be chapped is because of dehydration. So drink plenty of water, especially if you’re exerting your energy or sweating a lot. Chapped lips are dry lips, so drink your water.
These habits can be hard to break, but we promise you, your lips will thank you in the long run. Excessively biting, picking, and licking your lips can cause the skin to break down. This is why you end up having sores or scares.
By using an organic lip conditioner or a certified organic lip balm, you can restore your lip health and kick these bad habits to the curb.
We don’t have to tell you that pens, pencils, paperclips, jewelry, and other metal objects can irritate your already sensitive lips. They can also wreak havoc on your dental health as well.
To kick these habits, try applying a holistic lip balm multiple times a day. This can help trick your brain into thinking that you're satisfying your oral fixation without actually putting harmful objects in your mouth.
Improving the air quality in your home is a surefire way to take your lip game to the next level. When we breathe through our mouths, our lips inevitably get dried out, leading to unsightly and uncomfortable chapped lips.
Combat this by investing in a high-quality humidifier, which will help keep the air in your home moist and your lips perfectly hydrated.
By embracing a natural lip care regimen, you not only transform the look of your lips but can also address the underlying reasons behind their distress.
There are several ways to naturally moisturize those precious puckers of yours.
To put it simply, if you desire lusciously plump and moisturized lips, ditch those chemical-laden, non-organic lip balm butters and opt for natural lip balms for chapped lips instead. Because the last thing you need is an addicting lip balm.
Lip balms are like the potato chips of the beauty world: once you start, it's hard to stop. It's not just because of the satisfying feeling of smoothing it on, but because some ingredients like menthol, camphor, and phenol can give your lips a tingly and cooling sensation that makes you feel like you're doing something right.
However, the downside is that the more you use lip balm, the more your lips can become dependent on it. It's like they forget how to moisturize themselves and start relying solely on the balm for hydration. This may explain why your lips feel exceptionally drier without your chemical-heavy lip balm.
That's why we stress to you the importance of using natural lip balms that don't contain harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrances that can do more harm than good. By using a natural lip balm, you're not only giving your lips the hydration they need, but you're also avoiding the vicious cycle of constantly needing to apply it.
The best non-addictive lip balms will contain only natural ingredients that promote your lip health, rather than preventing them from creating their own moisture.
If you struggle with chapped lips, here are a few ingredients you should avoid in a lip balm:
Instead, look for natural lip balm brands that use these soothing ingredients:
With a little patience, applying these all-natural ingredients to your lips should give you some much-needed relief in just a few weeks. But, if you're still stuck with chapped lips after that time, it might be time to throw in the towel and head to a dermatologist.
There are a lot of natural lip balm brands out there, most of which claim they are the best. But very few of them contain, perhaps the best, most restorative ingredient: CBD.
Alright, we get it. CBD is everywhere and in everything. But hang on just a sec!
Did you know that according to Gretchen Frieling, MD, a certified dermatopathologist, CBD oil can prevent your lips from drying out and flaking? That's right, with a well-made CBD lip balm, the oil can lock in the moisture on your lips and protect them from the elements. Plus, it can even help reduce redness and irritation and soothe those painful cold sores.
And that’s not all… According to Mark Blaskovich, Ph.D., from the University of Queensland in Australia, CBD has potent antimicrobial and antibacterial effects, which is a huge benefit for your lip health.

]]>So let’s skip the small talk and get down to the nitty-gritty: Does CBD show up on drug tests? The answer is a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, CBD shouldn’t show up on a drug test. But as with most things in life, there are a few variables to consider.
So let's roll up our sleeves and explore this topic further! Together, we'll unravel the mysteries of CBD and drug tests.
Ah, the infamous world of drug testing. Urine drug tests are the most common diagnostic tests used to detect weed and certain cannabinoids. But how does it work?
Well, it's all thanks to an "immunoassay test" that uses special antibodies designed to attach to THC and its metabolites.
The test has a certain concentration threshold that the federal government sets. If the drug or substance is detected below this level, you're in the clear. But if it's above that threshold, brace yourself for a possible follow-up test.
Now, here's where things get interesting. THC likes to hang out in our fat, so our bodies store it in fat compartments.
As we burn or recycle that fat, the THC is slowly released, and the kidneys work their magic to eliminate it and its metabolites. That means that even after a single use, THC can be detected in our urine for up to 3 days. And if you've been hitting the bong pretty hard, it can stick around for more than a month. Yikes!
Noticed that we never mentioned CBD. You see, as per a recent publication in 2020, urine drug tests only have their sights set on specific substances.
These substances include:
Drug testers aren’t actively looking for CBD. Still, the question remains…
According to a 2020 study in the Journal of Analytical Toxicology, pure CBD should not cause you to fail a drug test.
Their findings suggest that pure CBD, like the kind you find in your favorite gummies and oils, is highly unlikely to make you test positive for THC on two specific types of drug tests.
That’s because employers often use drug tests to screen for illicit substances like THC and narcotics. Despite being legal in some states, THC is still considered illegal at the federal level. Since CBD is federally legal, it is highly unlikely that a drug test would specifically screen for it.
Simply put, CBD's presence alone is not enough to be flagged by a drug test. However, it is important to note that if a CBD product contains enough THC, it could trigger a positive result on a drug test.
The presence of THC in CBD products can occur due to contamination during the manufacturing process or improper labeling. This is why it’s incredibly crucial to choose high-quality CBD products from reputable companies that provide third-party lab test results to ensure they are free from THC.
Here’s what a lot of CBD companies won’t tell you… Some drug testers use a fancy chemical method called Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) to detect the presence of drugs and cannabinoids in your system.
Now, to make this method work, they need to add a special chemical called Trifluoroacetic Anhydride (TFAA) to help with the process (stay with us, we're about to connect the dots for you).
You see, here's where things get tricky. According to some research, TFAA and GC-MS can make CBD and THC look identical. Yep, you read that right. So, even if you've only been consuming good ol' hemp-derived CBD, you could still potentially fail a drug test if the chemicals, TFAA and GC-MS are used.
One of the most bizarre theories floating around out in the world wide web is that CBD can somehow magically transform into THC once it enters the human body. Sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi flick, right?
Well, when it comes to drug testing, they’re not looking for CBD at all. Instead, they’re on the hunt for a specific metabolite of THC. So, even if your CBD consumption is off the charts, you’re safe...in theory.
Sure, the chemical structures of CBD and THC may seem a little too similar for comfort, leading some researchers to fear that CBD could morph into THC via stomach acid. But in all honesty, these studies have some serious limitations.
Even the researchers themselves admit that this theory “deviates significantly from physiological conditions in the stomach.”
Simply put, you can rest easy knowing that CBD isn’t going to transform into THC inside your body. With that said, let's examine the significance of various CBD products to drug testing.
Truth be told, not all CBD products are created equal. This means that while the type of drug test is beyond your control, the purity of CBD is something you can choose.
You see, the type of CBD you use can make all the difference when it comes to passing a drug test. And with a vast array of CBD products on the market, it's important to know the difference between full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and CBD isolates.
Now, according to Medical News Today, the main difference between these types of CBD categories has to do with the compounds they contain. Therefore, depending on the percentage of compounds, CBD will fall into one of three main categories:
Full-Spectrum CBD is the type of CBD that contains all of the naturally occurring compounds found in the cannabis plant. This includes terpenes, flavonoids, and most importantly, up to 0.3% THC. Yup, you read that right – Full-Spectrum CBD contains THC, which is the psychoactive component of the cannabis plant that gets you high.
It’s believed that one of the biggest advantages of Full-Spectrum CBD is that the different compounds work together to create what's known as the "entourage effect." This means that the compounds enhance each other's effects, making the overall CBD experience more potent and effective.
But it also has a stronger flavor profile than other types of CBD, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your taste preferences.
Now, some cannabis connoisseurs suggest that even Full-Spectrum CBD won’t cause a failed drug test. That is if you’re not guzzling gallons of Full-Spectrum CBD oil every day.
However, according to research, the presence of THC in Full-Spectrum CBD products could accumulate in our fat compartments. And as we burn those fat compartments, that THC slowly gets released through our kidneys which could result in a failed urine drug test.
For these reasons, many people steer clear of Full-Spectrum CBD products altogether.
Broad-spectrum CBD is like the cooler, more refined cousin of full-spectrum CBD. It contains all the same beneficial compounds as full-spectrum, such as other cannabinoids and terpenes, but with one key difference: it's completely free of THC.
So, if you're subject to drug testing for work or other reasons, you can enjoy the therapeutic effects of CBD without any risk of getting busted.
And the best part? Broad-spectrum CBD is a fantastic option if you're looking for the "entourage effect" - the idea that different cannabinoids and terpenes work together to enhance each other's effects. So not only are you getting the benefits of CBD, but you're also getting a whole host of other beneficial compounds that work in harmony to support your health.
In a nutshell, broad-spectrum CBD is the way to go if you want to enjoy the full spectrum of benefits without any of the risks associated with THC.
Isolate CBD is highly purified. It only contains the purest form of CBD with no other cannabinoids or compounds from the cannabis plant. This means that it does not contain any trace amounts of THC, the psychoactive compound found in marijuana that can potentially show up on drug tests.
For individuals who are concerned about drug testing, isolate CBD is an ideal option as it eliminates any risk of THC showing up on a drug test. This is especially important for those who are subject to regular drug tests, such as athletes, law enforcement officers, and employees in certain industries.
Isolate CBD also offers a consistent and predictable experience because of its high level of purification. You don't have to worry about varying potencies or effects that come with full-spectrum CBD. Plus, it's highly effective in addressing specific health concerns.
But there’s a catch… While isolated CBD is free of THC and won't show up on a drug test, it may not provide the same synergistic effects as Full-Spectrum or Broad-Spectrum CBD.
Full-Spectrum and Broad-Spectrum CBD products contain a range of beneficial compounds that work together to enhance the overall therapeutic effects. So, it's a bit of a trade-off if you decide to use CBD Isolate instead of Full or Broad-Spectrum CBD.
However, for those who solely seek the benefits of pure CBD, isolated CBD is a great choice.
To avoid CBD showing up on drug tests, it’s best to choose a CBD product that’s free from THC –– the psychoactive cannabinoid found in marijuana that drug testers are looking for.
But here's the thing… CBD can be derived from either hemp or other cannabis plants, like marijuana.
Now, if you're going for the hemp option, it's important to keep in mind that the FDA says it shouldn't contain more than 0.3% THC. But hold your horses, because testing has shown that sometimes this limit can be exceeded.
In fact, in a 2021 study, researchers tested the urine of 15 participants who consume Full-Spectrum, hemp-derived CBD. And guess what they found? Seven of them had detectable levels of THC in their urine even four weeks after they stopped using the product!
The researchers warned that using hemp-derived products doesn't guarantee you'll pass a drug test. And to make matters worse, cannabis is still illegal on a federal level, which means if you test positive for THC, you could be in some serious trouble, even if it was just from contaminated CBD products.
But don't lose hope just yet. According to some medical toxicologist experts, Broad-spectrum CBD and CBD isolate products are less likely to be contaminated with detectable levels of THC. That's because the extraction methods used in creating these CBD products specifically remove THC from the formulations.
The creation of CBD isolate products goes a step further in removing all other terpenes and cannabinoids from the final product. Thus creating a pure CBD-only product.
So, when it comes to CBD and drug testing, it's always better to err on the side of caution and opt for products that are less likely to land you in hot water.
If you're a CBD user, you're probably aware that the risk of failing a drug test is a major concern. So, why would CBD trigger a positive result on a drug test in the first place? Well, there are three main reasons to consider:
Firstly, if you're using a full-spectrum CBD product, it may contain enough THC to trigger a positive drug test result.
Secondly, if the CBD products you're using are labeled incorrectly, you may be unknowingly consuming THC or other prohibited substances.
Lastly, cross-contamination can also be a culprit. This can happen when CBD is produced in a facility that also processes THC-containing products, leading to trace amounts of THC in the final CBD product.
Now, the good news is that you can easily avoid the first issue by checking the label of the product you're using. Look for keywords like "broad-spectrum" or "CBD isolate," which indicate that the product doesn't contain THC. And, for extra peace of mind, always look for third-party lab reports or Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to ensure that the product contains only CBD and is free from any contaminants.
By being informed about the products you use, you can enjoy the benefits of CBD without worrying about failing a dozen federal law enforcement employee drug tests unexpectedly.
However, don't let your guard down just yet. There are plenty of shady CBD brands out there that claim their products are 100% THC-free, even when they're not.
In the last few years, researchers have discovered that more than 60% of CBD consumers use this cannabinoid to alleviate certain symptoms associated with many health issues: Anxiety, pain, sleep problems, and even depression.
What’s more, researchers have found that more than half of those CBD users experience relief from their troubling symptoms after consuming hemp-derived CBD products.
However, despite the growing acceptance of CBD, drug testing is still a major concern for many people, particularly those in federal jobs, sports, or on probation. This is because even though CBD products are derived from hemp and not marijuana, there is still a chance of cross-contamination with THC.
Back in 2020, more than two dozen federal law enforcement employees who rely on CBD for pain relief were placed under disciplinary action for testing positive for THC. It's a tough situation for those who are just trying to manage their health without the risk of losing their jobs or facing legal consequences.
Today, people are still experiencing these same drug testing results even after consuming hemp-derived CBD products. But why?
The answer: Shady hemp brands!
Shady hemp brands will say anything to get you to buy their questionable products. And while some of them might be somewhat effective, the issue is that they will ultimately cause you to fail a drug test.
With the rise of drug testing in many workplaces, using CBD products has become a risky business. And by risky, we mean potentially getting caught with THC in your system. Shady hemp brands don’t care about you failing a drug test. Which is why they will often make false claims about their THC content.
Bottom line: They just want your hard-earned money.
But reputable CBD brands are serious about drug testing, and they take pride in producing high-quality products that contain little to no THC at all.
You see, reputable CBD brands go the extra mile by using third-party labs to test their products for potency and purity, and they make these reports easily accessible to consumers. So, by choosing a trustworthy CBD brand, you can rest easy knowing that you're using a THC-free product that's safe to use and won't trigger a positive drug test.

Trust us, you’re not alone!
You’ve probably heard all about the amazing benefits pure CBD oil has to offer – from reducing anxiety to managing persistent chronic pain – but when it comes to actually using it, the process can feel a bit overwhelming. You may find yourself asking questions such as:
These are the questions we hear all the time, and we want you to know, it’s ok to ask them. CBD oil administration is a self-paced journey and everyone has their own unique experiences.
Heck, we remember the first time we decided to try CBD oil. It felt like we were embarking on a top-secret experiment, and the only instructions we had were a set of cryptic dosing suggestions and a tiny bottle of hemp-derived CBD oil.
We had a ton of questions too: Do you swallow CBD oil? Do you rub it into your skin? Should we hire a scientist to help us out?
Needless to say, we were overwhelmed. But we were determined to unlock the calming benefits of CBD oil.
Thus our CBD journey began... We set out to learn everything there is to know about ingesting CBD for its medicinal benefits. And in the process, we not only gained a deep understanding of CBD oil administration, but we also created our very own line of CBD oils – each with its own unique healing properties.
That’s right, Highline Wellness was born out of our personal experience with the incredible benefits of CBD for our mental health. And now, we feel a responsibility to share our knowledge with you. Because we know what it's like to feel lost in a sea of confusing and contradictory information, and we don't want anyone else to struggle as we did.
With Highline Wellness, we're here to be your guides and help you navigate the world of CBD oil with confidence and ease.
So buckle up, grab your notepad, and let’s take a deep dive into how to use CBD oil the right way. Together, we’ll put an end to the confusion once and for all!
To achieve the benefits of pure CBD oil, you just need to apply these few steps:
There are several different types of CBD hemp oils on the market. Some contain just pure hemp-derived CBD oil, while others contain flavors, terpenes, and added ingredients to target specific needs.
But here’s where things get tricky… There are also different spectrums of CBD oils. For example, there are three different spectrums of CBD to consider
Contains all the cannabinoids and terpenes found within the cannabis plant. This also includes 0.3% of THC.
While this amount of THC won’t get you high, it does accumulate in your system over time, which can increase your chances of failing a drug test. However, full-spectrum CBD oil is highly effective due to the added cannabinoids and therapeutic terpenes.
Contains everything full-spectrum CBD oil has to offer, minus the THC. With broad-spectrum CBD oil, you get all the amazing health benefits without the risk of accumulating THC in your system.
Broad-spectrum CBD oil is incredibly effective and praised for offering tremendous relief and internal balance.
Contains the purest amount of CBD, usually 99-100%. On its own, CBD isolate is less effective than both full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD oil. This is because of the entourage effect of all cannabinoids and terpenes working together.
However, the benefit of CBD isolate is that it contains absolutely no THC because it's been completely stripped down to just all-natural CBD.
Here at Highline Wellness, we offer the following CBD oil tinctures:
We create all of our CBD products with broad-spectrum CBD because we believe our consumers deserve to experience the full-on entourage effect without the worry of THC building up in their system.
Once you decide on which CBD oil you like to use, you then need to decide on the strength.
Choosing the strength of your CBD oil can be tricky if you’re new to the hemp industry. So, we’re going to break it down in a very simple way.
The strength of your CBD oil is determined by the total of milligrams of CBD per tincture bottle.
For example, a 30ml tincture that contains 1,000mg CBD oil is twice as strong as a 500mg, 30ml CBD oil bottle. That is if you're considering buying those two different strengths of CBD from the same hemp brand. If not, the total contents that are in that tincture may not be the same.
Here at Highline Wellness, we craft our CBD oil tinctures into a range of strengths. This allows everyone the option to achieve the perfect CBD oil experience for their specific needs.
Our CBD Oil tinctures come in the following strengths:
Type of CBD Oil |
Strength and Toral of CBD Milligram per 30mL Bottle |
Total of Milligrams of CBD per Dropper |
Premium CBD Oil |
250 Milligrams of CBD 500 Milligrams of CBD 1,000 Milligrams of CBD 2,000 Milligrams of CBD 3,000 Milligrams of CBD |
8 Milligrams of CBD per Dropper 16 Milligrams of CBD per Dropper 33 Milligrams of CBD per Dropper 66 Milligrams of CBD per Dropper 100 Milligrams of CBD per Dropper |
CBD Night Oil for Sleep |
500 Milligrams of CBD |
16.6 Milligrams of CBD per Dropper |
CBD Energy Oil |
500 Milligrams of CBD |
16.6 Milligrams of CBD per Dropper |
CBD Immunity Oil |
500 Milligrams of CBD |
16.6 Milligrams of CBD per Dropper |
Given that our Premium CBD Oil comes in a variety of strengths, you can easily choose which strength works best for you and your specific needs.
However, if you’re new to CBD, we highly recommend you start with a lower strength, 250mg or 500mg. It’s best to ease your way into the CBD to determine your sweet spot.
Now that you know the different strengths of CBD oils, you need to now figure out how much CBD oil you should take.
If you look at the mountain of studies surrounding CBD, you’ll find that most of them involve CBD oil. But what you won’t find is a concrete CBD dosing chart. This is because every person is built differently and they have their own specific health issues.
Since there are no guidelines for CBD dosing, the hemp industry has left it to reputable hemp brands to determine a safe recommendation for CBD dosage.
Any reputable CBD brand will recommend their customers to start with a low CBD dosage and then gradually increase that dosage until they reach the desired effect.
Keep in mind that dosing CBD oil requires patience and a lot of experimentation. If you’re new to CBD oil, consider starting with just 8mg. That would be one full dropper of the 250mg tincture bottle, half a dropper of a 500mg tincture bottle, and a quarter of a dropper of a 1,000mg tincture bottle.
Here are a few other factors to consider when determining the perfect CBD oil dosage:
If you’re using CBD oil for pain, then you may need to take more than 8 mg of CBD oil. Using CBD oil for anxiety also may require a stronger dose.
Small doses of CBD are great for regaining energy and just maintaining internal balance.
That said, here at Highline Wellness, we encourage you to start slow and with a low dosage, especially if you’re new to CBD. However, if you’ve consumed CBD oil before but you’re looking to switch over to Highline CBD Oil, be sure to follow our dosing instructions on the back of the CBD oil bottle.
You can fill the dropper all the way, or just a little bit. Our CBD oil is safe for you to take as much as you need when you need it most.
The most popular and effective way to ingest CBD is by placing the CBD oil under your tongue and holding it there for 30 seconds.
The reason this method is so effective is that the CBD is absorbed through the blood vessels under your tongue.
However, there are other ways you can use CBD oil.
For example, you can add a few drops of CBD oil to your favorite drink, like coffee, tea, or smoothie. You can even administer CBD oil into one of your favorite recipes, like homemade cookies or salad dressing. So if you’re wondering: Do you swallow CBD oil? The answer is yes, that is one way you can ingest CBD.
Some people even have CBD oil mixed into their favorite lotions and creams to take their skincare routine to the next level. Or they may even apply CBD oil directly onto their skin as a CBD topical.
Here at Highline Wellness, we encourage you to take our CBD Oils any way you choose. That said, placing our CBD Oils under your tongue is by far the most effective method.
Consistency is key if you want to truly tap into the full benefits of pure CBD oil.
You see, when you’re just starting out, you may not notice anything from using CBD oil, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t working. It just means that you need to keep experimenting. Even conventional doctors experiment with the dosage of using different pharmaceutical drugs.
CBD oil is a very gentle and highly therapeutic cannabinoid that affects everyone differently. While some people notice the benefits of CBD oil right off the bat, others may need a little more time.
For this reason, if you want to experience the best results, we encourage you to develop and stick to a CBD routine for at least 30 days. And during those 30 days, evaluate your progress.
Take notes on how you feel before and after you consume CBD oil each day. By day 30, you might be surprised at how effective this amazing cannabinoid can be for your overall health and wellness.
Absolutely! There is no harm in drinking water after taking CBD oil. Just be sure to wait 30-60 seconds before you gulp your H2O down. Here’s why…
If you're holding the CBD oil under your tongue, it's especially important to wait at least 30 seconds or longer before you drink any water. This will give the blood vessels under your tongue enough time to properly absorb CBD oil, which can help to increase its effectiveness.
That said, you may naturally feel the urge to swallow after holding the CBD oil under your tongue for a little while. Don't worry, this is completely normal! After 30-60 seconds, you can go ahead and drink as much water as you'd like.
We encourage you to stay hydrated, as it can help to support your overall health and wellness. It can also help transport any remaining CBD oil into your digestive system.
Now that you know how to properly consume CBD oil the right way, you might have some questions regarding the meaning of CBD oil.
Cannabidiol, or CBD, is an all-natural compound found within the cannabis plant.
Now don’t worry, unlike its psychoactive relative THC, CBD won’t get you high. Scientists have discovered that higher ratios of CBD can actually counteract the psychoactive effects of THC.
This is why full-spectrum CBD products won’t get you high. The amount of CBD present in the bottle greatly outweighs the amount of THC in the bottle. However, this doesn’t change the fact that THC can still build up in your system. For this reason, many people prefer broad-spectrum CBD oil.
That said, to create highly effective medicinal CBD oil, the CBD compound must first be extracted from the cannabis plant. This is done by using various methods, such as CO2 extraction or ethanol extraction. These extraction methods are by far the cleanest and safest methods used in the hemp industry.
Once the CBD is extracted from the hemp plant, it is then combined with a carrier oil, such as coconut oil, better known as MCT oil.
You see, according to research, when cannabinoids are combined with dietary lipids (fats) they become more effective. This is because fats, like MCT oil, help increase the amount of CBD that gets absorbed into your system.
Scientists call it the “intestinal lymphatic transport”, which is just a fancy way of saying that the fats help the CBD get into your bloodstream more efficiently.
When you consume CBD infused with a fatty carrier oil, like coconut oil, you’re able to get more relief from lower doses of CBD oil.
But now the question is…
High-quality CBD oil, created by reputable hemp brands, is packed with a ton of therapeutic properties. And it’s these properties that help reintroduce balance back into your overall body.
You see, CBD oil has a strong influence and connection with our very own Endocannabinoid System, or ECS for short.
Now, our ECS is made up of receptor cells, enzymes, and endocannabinoids, and they can be found throughout our body, including:
In a nutshell, our ECS is responsible for keeping our body in balance and functioning normally. But even our ECS can be thrown off balance sometimes, by something scientists call Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CED).
CED means that your ECS isn’t producing enough endocannabinoids to keep everything in balance, like your sleep, appetite, mood, pain, etc.
Scientists have noted a connection between CED and the following health issues:
They also think it might have something to do with increased inflammation, nervous system issues, digestion problems, mood swings, and sleep disorders.
So, What does CBD do, you ask?
Well, to help with CED, scientists have been looking into drugs that work as a CB1 receptor agonist. And as it turns out, scientists are particularly curious about CBD because it also acts as a CB1 agonist. More studies are needed to confirm this, but it’s interesting to see that scientists are pushing for more CBD studies simply because of its unique mechanisms in the human body.
This brings us to…
CBD oil is praised for offering tons of therapeutic benefits. Some folks use CBD oil to reduce their anxiety and stress, while other people swear that CBD oil helps improve their sleep and reduce their pain.
And get this, many CBD Reddit users claim that this cannabinoid has helped improve their sleep, digestion, and even their sexual experiences.
But is there actual scientific proof behind these statements, or are they just blowing smoke?
As it turns out, CBD oil has been studied extensively for its many benefits. And more studies are currently underway.
According to a cross-sectional study of Cannabidiol users, researchers found that 62% of folks taking CBD do so for pain relief, anxiety, and depression.
There are a few studies that revealed CBD may help ease the symptoms associated with anxiety disorders by promoting a calming effect. Of course, more studies are needed to confirm these results, but based on significant anecdotal evidence, it seems that people primarily use CBD oil to address their anxiety.
This is also true for sleep disorders. According to the Sleep Foundation, anxiety is often one of the root causes of poor sleep. However, studies show that CBD is effective at lowering anxiety levels, thus improving better sleep.
For example, one study found that 80% of participants experienced reduced anxiety within a month of consuming CBD. What’s even more impressive, is that over 65% of those participants also experienced better, more quality sleep.
Because of the results of this study, scientists have been pushing for more research to really explore the mechanism of CBD and insomnia.
As for pain, CBD has also been studied for its ability to address chronic pain. So far, most, if not all, of the studies involving CBD also mention inflammation. And if there’s one thing we know about persistent inflammation, is that it’s often associated with persistent pain.
According to research, many scientists and medical professionals have noticed that CBD has a significant impact on balancing out inflammation. They’ve also noted that CBD is a powerful antioxidant. Because of these findings, it makes sense that many people find relief from their aches and pains after consuming high-quality CBD. But again, more studies are needed to confirm this.
Perhaps the most intriguing benefit of CBD is its ability to reduce seizures. This devastating condition can be debilitating, but CBD oil has shown promise in helping manage seizures. In fact, the FDA has even approved a medicinal CBD oil called Epidiolex to help treat rare forms of epilepsy primarily found in young children.
When it comes to the benefits of 100% cannabis oil or broad-spectrum, hemp-derived CBD oil, the evidence is overwhelming. Especially if you look beyond just government-funded studies.
That said, CBD oil is not a “cure-all” by any means. While many people do find relief from using it, CBD is not a magic solution that can fix all of your health problems and ailments.
If you’re looking for something more natural and less invasive, then CBD is something you should consider. But keep in mind that developing a healthy style is also important, like:
Overall, CBD oil should be used in conjunction with other health practices and under the guidance of a healthcare professional if you’re currently taking any prescription medications.
Since CBD is the second most prominent cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant, it is an all-natural compound.
But here’s the thing: there are some less-than-reputable brands out there that think they can get away with creating synthetic CBD. Yeah, that’s right, synthetic. Not natural. And let’s just say it can cause some unwanted side effects and make your body go haywire.
So, if you want to avoid any potential disasters, make sure you’re getting the real deal. Always check to see if your CBD is derived from hemp and has a thorough Certificate of Analysis (COA). It’s like a seal of approval from an accredited third-party testing laboratory.
Don’t be fooled by the growing number of shady hemp brands trying to pass off synthetic CBD as the real thing. Stick to the high-quality good stuff! Your body will thank you.
But where do you find high-quality CBD?
It is no secret that life can be tough, and people have their unique ways of dealing with it. Whether they are facing anxiety, pain, or feeling overwhelmed, it can be a constant struggle. However, many people have found CBD to be a game-changer in soothing their minds and lifting their spirits.

]]>And that’s not even the worst part. You see, pain is more than just a physical burden, it messes with our heads, too. Did you know that pain can be both a cause and a result of poor sleep? Below we break down everything you need to know about how will CBD gummies help with pain.
That’s right when you’re sleep-deprived, your body’s pain threshold drops. This may explain why you start to feel aches and pains that you never experienced before. What’s more, scientists have also found that stress can greatly enhance your perception of pain.
You see, when it comes to pain, stress is like a personal assistant, making sure your aches and pains are front and center of your mind all day, every day.
It’s like when you’re stuck in traffic and you suddenly realize, “Oh yea, I have a headache.” Or when you’re at work and you think to yourself, “Wow, my back is really acting up today.” All thanks to the little added bonus of stress.
And that’s not all. There’s a whole host of reasons why you might be struggling with persistent pain. And it may not be just one thing, it can be a combination of old injuries, biology, and all the stress life throws your way. So what can you do about it?
Well, it turns out that meditation and exercise can help clear your mind and strengthen your body. And that’s all fine and dandy in theory, but when you’re in a world of hurt, getting out of bed can feel like climbing Mount Everest.
Thankfully, however, scientists have also found that eating a healthy diet can help manage your pain. Who knew that fruits, veggies, and even apple cider vinegar could be the key to unlocking a life with less pain?
Well, if you look at the hundreds of positive reviews surrounding our CBD Gummies, you’ll find that dozens of people have experienced tremendous relief and much-needed comfort.
That’s because here at Highline Wellness, we craft our CBD Gummies with high-quality ingredients. Using the best hemp farming practices and extraction methods in the industry, our CBD Gummies recipe is held to the highest third-party lab testing standards and manufactured in a GMP-certified facility.
Sounds too good to be true? Well, here’s the thing, CBD gummies are all rage these days, and for good reason. Their main active ingredient is Cannabidiol (CBD), which is a therapeutic cannabinoid found within the hemp plant.
And given all the information involving CBD, including pre-clinical, clinical, and anecdotal evidence, it’s no wonder folks are seeking out gentler solutions and less invasive alternatives, like CBD for pain relief and sleep. Especially with the opioid crisis in full swing.
There are several reasons people are turning to CBD for pain management. For starters, based on mounds of scientific research and anecdotal evidence, many people have reported pain-free experiences using CBD. And given that CBD is a non-psychoactive compound found naturally occurring in the cannabis plant, it is believed that it has a unique mechanism within the human body.
You see, many studies suggest CBD may offer tremendous pain-relieving effects, especially when it comes to inflammation. This amazing plant-derived molecule has been used for many years for its medicinal benefits, specifically for its antioxidant properties.
What’s more, CBD doesn’t offer addictive properties or horrible side effects associated with prescription pain medications. Very few side effects have been reported from consuming CBD, and even then those side effects are rare and easily remedied.
But perhaps the most appealing reason people are turning to CBD, more specifically CBD Gummies, is that they offer more than just CBD. High-quality CBD Gummies are crafted using nutrient-dense ingredients that offer additional benefits. These added nutritious ingredients include:
That said, CBD is of course the secret ingredient in CBD hemp gummies. And they’re quickly becoming the best gummies for pain relief on the market. This is all due to how CBD works in the human body.
First things first, Cannabidiol, or CBD for short, is not the same thing as THC. So, despite the rumors you may have heard, CBD is not going to get you high. That is, of course, if you buy high-quality CBD products from a reputable hemp brand. But we’ll dive more into that topic in just a little bit. Right now, we’re getting into the weeds of how CBD works.
Quick note: There’s a lot of debate about the specifics of how CBD works. Scientists and medical experts are still conducting studies on that exact subject as we speak.
But given what scientists have already uncovered about CBD, most, if not all research experts agree that CBD helps keep our bodies in balance. And it’s all thanks to how CBD works within our own internal system, called the Endocannabinoid System. We’ll call it “ECS” for short.
If you don’t know what the ECS is, don’t worry. This amazing system was discovered in the late 1980s. So, it’s not likely mentioned in older biology books unless they’ve been recently updated.
That said, since the discovery of the ECS, scientists have been renewing their research on drug development. And in doing so, they have become more compelled to research CBD as a painkiller. Especially since several cannabinoids, like CBD, have been shown to help with things like pain, sleep, anxiety, and more.
In a nutshell, our ECS helps regulate and control many of our most important bodily functions, including:
In other words, your ECS is like an orchestra conductor, keeping all the important functions of your internal body in perfect harmony. Now, one of the ways your ECS maintains perfect harmony is by communicating with the receptor cells found throughout your body.
There are two main receptor cell categories that scientists have thoroughly studied:
In addition to these receptor cells, your ECS is also made up of endogenous cannabinoids, better known as endocannabinoids. And as of right now, there are only two endocannabinoids that scientists have really explored:
Now, it’s believed that these endocannabinoids help keep your body in balance. Anandamide is known as the “bliss molecule”, which helps keep your body and mind feeling good, upbeat, and even calm.
And that’s not all. According to some experts, when we feel pain, our ECS will release endocannabinoids to help provide some natural pain relief. But there’s just one issue…
Recently, scientists have uncovered a groundbreaking discovery, Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CED).
According to research, CED is thought to be one underlying issue of certain disorders and diseases. Now before you go off running to your doctor with this new self-diagnosis, it’s important to know that scientists are still exploring how exactly CED may contribute to unwanted health issues.
That said, here’s what we know so far… Scientists have found that CED is associated with the following conditions:
Scientists also noted that CED may be associated with inflammation and neurologic conditions. They even mention that CED may contribute to unregulated digestion, mood changes, and problems with sleep.
Now, more studies are needed to confirm these results, but based on what they know so far, the research is mind-blowing. To help address CED, scientists have been researching drugs that act as a CB1 agonist. And wouldn’t you know it, some studies suggest CBD is just that, a CB1 agonist.
Have you ever wondered why CBD Gummies don't get you high, but THC edibles do? Well, it all lies within how these two cannabinoids interact with your ECS.
Unlike THC, CBD doesn’t have a strong bond with your CB1 and CB2 receptors. Instead, it's more of an influencer, only interacting with your receptors under certain situations. Don’t worry, this will all make sense in just a second, especially when referring to pain.
You see, high concentrations of CBD can activate the 5-HT1A serotonin receptor, which is like the control center for anxiety, sleep, and pain. This may explain why so many people feel less anxious or pain-free after consuming higher doses of CBD.
Scientists have also noted that CBD can interact with our ion channels, like our TRPV1 receptor. This receptor is in charge of pain perception, inflammation, and body temperature. So when high-quality CBD binds to it, some people have experienced pain relief and less discomfort.
Additionally, based on other studies, researchers think that CBD can potentially change the way other molecules in our body work, serving as a “negative allosteric modulator”.
A negative allosteric modulator, like CBD, can sort of fine-tune the disruptive activity of a receptor to produce a more desired effect. For example, it’s thought that the GP555 receptor plays a role in our pain perception, mood regulation, and anxiety.
This brings us to this study, scientists found that CBD acted as a negative allosteric modulator with the GP555 receptor. Now, based on this study, it appears that CBD was effective at blocking the GP555 receptor thus reducing pain, anxiety, and improving mood.
Researchers also note that CBD may affect the way neurotransmitters (the chemicals in the body that help transmit signals from one nerve cell to another) work, specifically with the serotonin and opioid systems.
Overall, based on these studies and how complex CBD is, researchers are pushing for more studies to explore how Cannabidiol works in the human body. The more they uncover, the hemp industry can develop the proper guidelines for CBD dosing.
Now, with all that said, there is remarkable evidence that suggests CBD offers pain-relieving benefits.
Here’s what’s interesting about the benefits of CBD… According to a recent PubMed, the number of studies on the effects of CBD has more than doubled since 2016. From treating epilepsy in young children to addressing chronic pain and even anxiety disorders, it seems the list of CBD’s potential benefits keeps growing.
In fact, in a recent survey of 253 people, 151 participants tried CBD. And here’s what’s really mind-blowing, a whopping 29.1% of those 151 participants said that CBD helped “a lot” with their conditions and almost 20% said it helped “completely”. The conditions they reported that CBD helped with were back pain, nerve pain, and neck pain.
Additionally, when it came to what kind of CBD products these participants used, CBD edibles, oral tinctures, and inhalable products were the clear favorites.
And get this… A study published by Capano et al. found that taking CBD for 8 weeks helped significantly reduce the need for opioids and relieve chronic pain.
In fact, researchers from that study stated:
“CBD could significantly reduce opioid use and improve chronic pain and sleep quality among patients who are currently using opioids for pain management.”
All in all, CBD is more than just a trend. People are finding real relief from their anxiety and pain thanks to CBD. But let’s look at the specifics of CBD’s benefits.
Your neck and shoulders are the workhorses of your body, constantly doing everything from holding up your noggin to stabilizing your upper spine and allowing you to reach and move your upper body freely.
With all those muscles, joints, ligaments, and tenons in the mix, it’s no surprise that they’re susceptible to daily wear and tear. Think about it, from hunching over a computer all day to enduring a sports injury, there are plenty of ways you can experience shoulder pain.
For example, shoulder tendonitis, which usually presents a sharp pain in the tendons, is one of the most painful conditions that athletes and fitness professionals face.
This particular condition is when the rotator cuff or biceps tendon becomes incredibly inflamed. And the issue with inflammation is that it can cause a whole lot of pain. So much in fact, that moving your shoulder in any way is almost impossible.
But tendonitis doesn’t just occur in the shoulder, it can rear its ugly head anywhere that a tendon connects your bone to your muscle.
Typically, a few over-the-counter (OTC) anti-inflammatory drugs, along with a little extra rest can usually do the trick at promoting recovery and healing. But in cases where the pain is persistent even after consulting with a specialist, you might need something less invasive and a little more effective.
You see, the issue with OTC drugs is that they often come with their own sets of risks, like kidney issues, gastrointestinal problems, and other unwanted side effects. What’s more, using OTC drugs long-term may even lead to weakened tendons in your body.
This is where CBD, specifically CBD Gummies, comes into play. As it turns out, most, if not all the studies involving CBD mention its anti-inflammatory properties. Now, we have to be careful, to not make any claims, but according to a 2011 study, researchers found that CBD reduced pain and inflammation in rat models with inflamed joints.
Another study revealed that CBD’s ability to indirectly bind with center receptors in the body helped reduce both pain and inflammation. This is great news for those who suffer from shoulder tendonitis, or any type of inflammatory tendonitis for that matter.
There’s even a study that states the following:
“CBD may be a safe therapeutic to treat Osteoarthritis (OA) pain locally as well as block the acute inflammatory flares that drive disease progression and joint neuropathy.”
What’s more, in a 2012 study, CBD was able to reduce neuropathic pain by blocking A3 glycine receptors. Now, it’s theorized that by blocking the A3 glycine receptors, inflammation, pain, and cognitive function can be improved. But more studies are needed to confirm these results.
With all that said, and now that the World Anti-Doping Agency has removed CBD from its list of banned substances, athletes and sports enthusiasts are ditching conventional drugs and turning to an all-natural option: CBD as a painkiller.
But it’s not just any kind of CBD that they’re turning to, it’s high-quality CBD Gummies. This is because they’re conveniently discreet and packed with additional therapeutic ingredients.
Gout is a common and highly complicated form of arthritis. It’s when too much uric acid occurs in the bloodstream, and according to the Mayo Clinic, it can affect anyone.
Gout is known for causing sudden and severe attacks of pain, redness, tenderness, and lots of swelling in one or several joints. The most common place gout starts is in the big toe. And the pain usually occurs in the middle of the night. Many people say it feels like their big toe is on fire. Ouch!
Inflammation is also a huge symptom of gout, causing swelling, tenderness, and redness in the affected joint. Gout is a relentless type of arthritis pain, and those who suffer from it are greatly affected both physically and mentally.
Thankfully, gout has treatments!
There are several anti-inflammatory drugs that gout sufferers use, like aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. But be warned, these medications often contribute to an array of unwanted side effects. But there’s another way people have been addressing their gout –– CBD.
You see, a 2017 animal study found that CBD helped reduce inflammation and pain in male rats with Osteoarthritis. What’s more, in this same study, the additional nerve damage was prevented by the properties of CBD.
And that’s not all… Given that our Endocannabinoid System plays such a huge role in regulating our pain and inflammation, researchers are discovering that CBD’s unique mechanism with our endogenous cannabinoids and receptors may help address the pain and inflammation associated with gout.
But more research is needed, especially since no clinical studies are exploring the effects of CBD for gout.
However, in a 2021 survey of CBD use among people with fibromyalgia, 60% of the participants said they either use or have tried CBD. And among those participants, as much as 40% reported that CBD offered “much” or “very much” relief from their symptoms, specifically pain.
While this survey may not offer concrete evidence regarding CBD for gout, it does provide a very strong hypothesis regarding inflammation. And that is why so many people are turning to CBD for their gout pain. Especially CBD Gummies.
As it turns out, there are other natural gout remedies available, including:
And wouldn't you know it, our CBD Gummies contain those exact ingredients. What’s more, combining these natural ingredients with CBD increases their therapeutic effects even more.
Bottom line: Gout is a painful reality, and when a gout attack strikes, anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and aspirin aren’t always effective. Instead, they may cause some unwanted side effects.
However, many people have found that CBD works as a natural painkiller for their arthritic needs, specifically topical CBD and high-quality CBD Gummies.
When it comes to chronic pain and sleep problems, the two often go hand in hand, with most people often struggling to fall and stay asleep.
And even if you do manage to get some shut-eye, you still might wake up feeling fatigued, as your quality of sleep is often very poor. So, it makes sense that many folks who suffer from chronic pain try to address their sleep issues as a part of their pain management plan.
The link between pain and sleep is a vicious cycle. You see, the pain you feel during the day can greatly disrupt your quality of sleep at night. And believe it or not, poor sleep can make you even more sensitive to pain the next day.
Some research suggests that sleep has more of an impact on your pain perception than the other way around. This is why you must prioritize a good night’s sleep. But achieving quality sleep isn’t as cut and dry as you think.
Here’s the thing, to fall asleep, your nervous system needs to calm down, way down. But if you’re struggling with persistent pain, your nervous system is likely way more active than normal. This makes it harder for you to fall asleep and stay in a deep sleep that promotes recovery.
Several times throughout the night we will cycle through these stages. And in case you’re wondering, yes, it’s completely normal to wake up several times throughout the night. Most of the time you may not even know you’re waking up.
However, when you’re in pain, you might notice that it's your pain that’s waking you up. Thus increasing the activity in your nervous system and making it harder for you to fall back to sleep.
Medications for sleep can also be helpful, but keep in mind that sleep drugs are only designed to assist. They aren’t meant to be used long-term as a standalone treatment. This is because our body can build up a tolerance to them thus making them ineffective. Not to mention, most sleep medications contribute to unwanted side effects.
To treat pain relief for better sleep, you may need to address racing thoughts, anxiety, and mood disorders, like depression. Anxiety is often the reason most people can’t fall asleep and depression is often the reason most people wake much earlier than they want to, thus making it harder to fall back to sleep.
But according to a 2019 study, CBD has been found to improve sleep quality, decrease sleep disturbances, and reduce sleep latency when combined with other cannabinoids, like THC. What’s more, these same results were confirmed in another 2021 study.
And that’s not all… According to the Sleep Foundation, CBD can help calm the nervous system. This is great news, given that our nervous system needs to be calm for us to achieve better sleep.
But what’s interesting about this study is that it revealed anxiety is often at the forefront of sleep problems. However, 80% of participants who consumed CBD to address their anxiety experienced significantly lower levels of anxiety within just one month. And of those participants, more than 65% saw an improvement in their sleep and overall health.
Of course, more studies are needed to confirm these ground-breaking results. This is why a pilot study involving THC and CBD for insomnia was conducted in 2020. The results have yet to be published, but hopefully, they will provide more insight into how CBD helps address sleep.
Nevertheless, the studies that we have so far are without a doubt intriguing, and worth mentioning if you’re looking for a different approach to addressing your pain and lack of sleep.
Additionally, as we’ve mentioned a few times already, CBD is one heck of a team player. This means that when you combine CBD with other cannabinoids and therapeutic ingredients, it naturally enhances its effects.
And that’s why we combine our CBD with melatonin, to create a sleep-inducing blend that promotes restful and rejuvenating sleep. You won’t find a more restful or calming blend like that of CBD and melatonin in our all-natural hemp gummies.
Managing your pain involves a lot of trial and error. This is because it takes a lot to get to the root cause of your pain. This is because pain can be the result of many things, including injury, disease, and even mental traumas.
And let’s not forget all the anecdotal testimonials that report CBD Gummies help manage their pain. Tons of ladies sing the praises of these little CBD candies because they find that when they consume CBD edibles they notice a change in their mood.
As it turns out, many women suggest that CBD-infused gummies help manage their pain and keep their nerves in check during their period. Especially when they’re anxiously anticipating those dreaded cramps or other PMS symptoms.
And the list goes on regarding people's personal experience with CBD for pain management.
Well, the answer is a bit complicated… You see, when it comes to CBD for inflammation, tons of people go crazy. This is because hemp brands are not allowed to suggest that their CBD offers pain-free results or anti-inflammatory effects.
But if you look at all the research surrounding CBD, you’ll notice that inflammation is a common theme in most, if not all, the studies about CBD. And guess what? Those researchers aren’t shy about saying that CBD does indeed have some pretty impressive anti-inflammatory benefits.
That’s not to say that CBD is a “cure-all” anti-inflammatory drug, but it would be ignoring the facts to say that CBD doesn’t hold some serious therapeutic power for the human body.
Even the FDA has given CBD a nod of approval, as they greenlit Epidiolex, which is the first plant-derived, cannabinoid-based drug for children with rare forms of epilepsy.
While inflammation is not the cause of epilepsy, inflammation has been associated with epilepsy. And here’s what’s even more mind-blowing… It was the power of anecdotal evidence that convinced the FDA to take a closer look at CBD for epilepsy.
So while we await further scientific research on the efficacy of CBD for pain management, it's crucial to also consider the real-life experiences of those who have used CBD for pain relief and sleep. Personal testimonials can offer valuable insight into the potential benefits of CBD for inflammation and pain.
CBD is a very complex cannabinoid, which means the dose of CBD can greatly affect your sleep and pain relief. Research suggests that lower doses of CBD can offer a stimulating effect, while higher doses of CBD have a more sedative effect.
It all boils down to these few factors:
And these factors also apply to determining the CBD dosage for inflammation.
You see, everyone’s body is unique and requires different doses. So, it’s not uncommon to see some individuals consume anywhere from half of a hemp gummy to 5 gummies a day. Now we know that seems like a lot of gummies to consume, but keep in mind that it greatly depends on the potency of CBD in the hemp gummy.
The reason body weight is such a big factor is that if you have a higher body mass, you may need a more potent CBD gummy to fully experience the effects of CBD. On the other hand, if you have a lower body mass, a lower dose of CBD may suffice.
We recommend that you start with just one CBD gummy. Once you’ve consumed it, observe how you feel and adjust how many CBD gummies you need accordingly.
Keep in mind that when it comes to addressing specific issues like pain, stress, sleep problems, or anxiety, you may have to do some experimentation. The guidelines for CBD dosage can vary greatly with these types of issues.
Always start with a low dose and then gradually increase the milligrams as you see fit. Just be sure you give your body plenty of time for the CBD to take effect in your system.
On average, it takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 90 minutes for the pain-relieving effects of CBD Gummies to kick in.
This is because no two people are the same, and our bodies process chemicals, nutrients, and molecules at different rates. So be patient when it comes to consuming CBD Gummies for pain relief, let your body and CBD do their thing.
With that said, there are a few factors that can impact the speed at which hemp gummies start working, such as whether you consume them on a full or empty stomach, your metabolism rate, your tolerance to CBD, and the quality of the gummies you are taking.
For some people, consuming CBD Gummies on an empty stomach may speed up their pain-relieving effects. However, some research suggests that taking CBD edibles with a fatty meal may help speed up the process as fat helps the body absorb CBD more easily.
Your metabolism rate also plays a role, as CBD edibles need to be broken down in your digestive system before they can be metabolized and released into your bloodstream.
As for tolerance, if you consume CBD regularly, you may have developed a high tolerance to CBD. This means they will need a higher dose of CBD Gummies to feel their therapeutic effects.
But perhaps the most important factor is the quality of the CBD in the hemp gummy. High-quality CBD Gummies from reputable brands will make all the difference in how effective and how quickly you’ll feel the pain-relieving effects.
Low-quality hemp gummies from unreliable sources don’t use quality-sourced CBD or health-promoting ingredients. Instead, they often cut corners and use questionable ingredients that work against your body, rather than for it.
The best CBD Gummies for pain are those that have been crafted using high-quality CBD, clean CBD extract methods, safe added ingredients, and all-natural compounds, like:
And let’s just say, very few hemp brands know that when CBD is paired with one, or several of the compounds listed above, together they achieve amazing results.
Sure, you can spend all day looking at hemp brand after hemp brand, trying to find the best gummies for pain relief, but we’re here to tell you that your search is over.
We’re just going to shoot you straight… Our CBD Gummies are the real deal. And we don’t say that lightly. We’ve taken our sweet, sweet time perfecting the recipe for each of our CBD Gummies.
All of our CBD products, including our irresistible and highly effective CBD Gummies, are made in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Certified facility. Not many hemp brands do this, but we’re very adamant about our GMP-certified facility.
By being GMP certified, our CBD products are held to incredibly high standards set by the FDA. And if that wasn’t enough, we’re also huge sticklers for third-party lab testing. This means that all of our CBD products, especially our CBD Gummies are tested to ensure they are free from harmful toxins and potentially dangerous contaminants.
You see, we’re not just the genius creators of our highly therapeutic and delicious CBD Gummies, we’re also consumers of them. We don’t just create them for you, we also create them for us, our families, and our friends.

Bottom line: Finding the root cause of your pain isn't always easy. A recent study found that the prevalence of pain has gone up in recent years. And yet, despite all of this, we still don't have all the answers. We don't know why some people suffer while others don't. We don't know why pain persists long after an injury has healed. And we don't know why stress seems to make everything worse.
But here's what we do know - you’re not alone in this. Pain affects millions of people all over the world, and it's time we start looking to less invasive, more natural solutions to help address our relentless aches and pains.
So, let's raise a CBD gummy in solidarity because no one should have to live in pain.
We encourage you to not let discomfort rule your life any longer. If you’re ready to see how will CBD gummies help with pain, give one of our CBD Gummies a try today. You never know, it might just be the missing piece you’ve been seeking all along.

]]>Well, have you ever considered getting a stress relief subscription box or a subscription box for depression and anxiety?
Between work, taking care of the kids, and meeting countless deadlines, being stressed out has become the new normal. It’s sad but very true.
And this new normal also includes anxiety and bouts of depression.
In fact, according to a 2020 study, “the prevalence of people with depression or anxiety symptoms in America increased substantially –– from about 11 percent of people in 2019 to close to 40 percent.” That’s a huge jump!
But long before the COVID-19 pandemic began, Americans were already increasingly feeling stressed out.
You see, in our modern world, success is often defined as hustling and burning the midnight oil to achieve fame, material items, and stacks of cash. So it’s no wonder that many people felt down in the dumps even before the pandemic.
But since 2020, stress, anxiety, and depression have reached an all-time high!
This is because stress, anxiety, and depression often go hand-in-hand.
According to the researchers at Yale Medicine, “Persistent stress that feels unmanageable can lead to anxiety and depression.”
While it’s normal to experience stress in certain situations, staying stressed out and feeling a lack of control over certain situations can wreak havoc on your body and mental health. This then can lead to symptoms of anxiety and depression.
So, how do you address these mental issues and struggles?
The answer: Self-care!
Now, self-care can mean different things to different people. But the main point of self-care is exactly how it sounds: caring for yourself.
And what better way to care for yourself than subscribing to a mindful monthly box that helps your focus on your self-care needs and mental health?
Here at Highline Wellness, we prioritize your self-care needs. We know you have a lot going on in your day-to-day life. This is why we want to make things easier for you by providing the best self-care subscription boxes for you to subscribe to.
But before we dive into our high-quality anxiety subscription boxes, let’s first address…
Simply put, self-care is caring for yourself. This includes your physical, spiritual, and mental needs.
Unfortunately, we live in a society where working long hours and passing up vacation days are praised. The more we grind, the closer to success we’ll be. And the more productive we are, the better we’ll feel.
While being productive is very important, there is a balance. Too much productivity can lead you to feel burnt out, or more importantly, stressed out. And as we mentioned early, feeling constantly stressed out for a long period can lead to anxiety and even depression.
Stress is a vicious cycle.
This brings us to…
Self-care might sound like a common sense practice, given that we are in control of our own bodies. But when challenging situations and life-altering events take place, your self-care needs are usually the first things to go.
Job loss, a death in the family, unexpected financial expenses, and divorce, are just a few examples of what can throw your self-care practices into the backseat.
And when we toss our self-care practices out the window, we essentially lower our defense guards to the exposure of more chronic stress.
This is where stress relief boxes can come in handy. They’re fully equipped with the products you need to address your chronic stress and anxiety.
As we mentioned early, chronic stress can affect your entire well-being.
You see, chronic stress doesn’t just affect your mental health, it can also wreak havoc on your entire body.
According to the Arthritis Foundation, stress can set off your immune system’s inflammatory response. And consistent chronic stress can fuel joint damage and increase pain.
Other studies show that prolonged chronic stress has a significant effect on the immune system, which can ultimately manifest as an illness.
In fact, researchers have found that “Emotional stress is a major contributing factor to the six leading causes of death in the United States: cancer, coronary heart disease, accidental injuries, respiratory disorders, cirrhosis of the liver, and suicide.”
In 2008, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in the United States also found that 75% of doctor visits were stress-related.
But the rise of stress-related diseases isn’t just in America. According to the Meridian Stress Management Consultancy in the U.K., “Almost 180,000 people in the U.K. die each year from some form of stress-related illness.”
That number has increased dramatically since 2008.
While stress is normal to some degree, chronic stress is not normal or helpful. And it can lead to many unwanted health issues, including anxiety and depression.
This is why self-care is so important… Self-care forces you to prioritize yourself first!
And there’s no better way to prioritize your self-care needs than with self-care subscription boxes that target stress, anxiety, and depression.
For example, anxiety box subscriptions, as well as depression subscription boxes, give you the supplies you need to achieve relaxation and comfort.
What’s more, these therapy subscription boxes help put your self-care needs in the spotlight so that you can address them before you take care of anything else.
But how do you prioritize your self-care needs?
Prioritizing your self-care can sometimes feel impossible, especially when you’re overscheduled, overextended, and most of all, overworked.
But there are a few easy ways that you can subtly prioritize yourself and self-care practices.
Let’s start with…
Think of self-reflection and meditation as pressing pause on the craziness and chaos surrounding you right now.
All you need is a few minutes. Start with 5 minutes and just close your eyes. Quietly focus on your breathing and slowing down your heart rate.
The first 5 minutes might be hard for you to quiet your mind, but the more you do it, the better you’ll get at meditation.
According to a scientific review, “Meditation involves the intentional and repeated practice of intentionally activating the body’s relaxation response and has shown potential to improve one’s ability to manage stress, which has been shown to underlie various physical and psychological illnesses.”
Once you achieve meditation for 5 minutes, you can slowly increase your time to 10, 15, and 20 minutes.
From there, you can start evaluating your desires, motivations, behaviors, emotions, and the “why” behind each of them.
This will allow you to prioritize other self-care habits and practices in your life.
Did you know that one-third of the adults in America don’t get the recommended amount of sleep they need? And 10% of those adults have been diagnosed with a mental illness.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, “The link between inadequate sleep and mental distress has been viewed historically as a symptom–disease association with sleep inadequacies deriving from preexisting mental distress.”
Sleep and self-care go hand-in-hand.
Sleep allows you to reset and restore your mind, body, and spirit. Without adequate sleep, your body will quickly shut down.
Allow yourself to sleep for at least 7 to 8 hours each night.
Avoid looking at bluelight (smartphones, TV, and other screens) before bed. And don’t consume sugary foods for at least a couple of hours before you head to bed. Try to avoid caffeine after 2 pm.
Speaking of food…
Research has shown time and again that certain foods, like omega-3 fats and vegetables, may help balance your cortisol levels.
A healthy diet equipped with a balance of vegetables, fruits, grains, and meats fuels your body with energy, alertness, and strength.
According to Harvard T.H. Chan, “A balanced diet can support a healthy immune system and the repair of damaged cells. It provides the extra energy needed to cope with stressful events.”
Relying on fast and highly processed foods can lead to weight gain, inflammation, pain, and stress.
This is a huge self-care practice that most of us can get better at.
We are often our own worst critic, which can lead us to feel unmotivated, insecure, and defeated in the long run.
Instead, we need to be our biggest cheerleader and understand that we’re doing the best we can.
Comparison is one of the biggest issues we deal with when it comes to social media. While it might seem like you’ll never achieve your goals, remember that it’s more about the journey than the destination. Besides, the journey is what we talk about most anyway, so find ways to enjoy the process!
Remember to be patient and kind to yourself, especially when you feel like you’re not achieving your goals as quickly as you’d like, or when you're spiraling out of control.
It’s okay if you fall. Just dust yourself off and start over.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, people across the world noticed a huge impact on their daily routines. Everything changed!
Since then, people have been desperately trying to get back into a routine. But why?
According to research, “Regularized routines can buffer the adverse impact of stress exposure on mental health…”
When we adopt a healthy routine, we form healthy habits. And the more healthy habits we have, the more defense we develop against stress, anxiety, and depression.
But how do you achieve healthy self-care habits and routines?
Well, that’s where self-care and mental health subscription boxes come in handy. But wait…
One of the best ways you can adopt a healthy routine and take your self-care practices to the next level is to get subscription boxes for anxiety, depression, and stress.
A self-care subscription box contains essential products to help reduce the stress that often turns into anxiety and depression.
Much like other subscription box services, self-care subscription boxes are packed with stress-relieving products that help you create and maintain your self-care routine.
They often come equipped with soothing CBD bath bombs, aromatherapy products, naturally calming teas, meditation tools, calming candles, and so much more.
And the best part… These mental health self-care subscription boxes allow you to receive all the products you need to achieve your self-care practices, without having to worry about reordering those much-needed products each month.
You already have enough to worry about on a day-to-day basis. Opting for a monthly subscription box for depression or a monthly self-care box can eliminate the stress of shopping for the products you need to reduce your anxiety and stress in the first place.
Given that we’ve covered the importance of self-care and how to prioritize your self-care needs, it’s important to know there are tons of different self-care subscription boxes on the market. And many of them go by different names.
Since self-care covers a wide spectrum of personal needs, it’s no surprise that the self-care industry has created several different self-care subscription boxes. Most of which go by different names and contain an assortment of various products.
Here are the different names of the many self-care subscription boxes available on the market today:
All of these subscription boxes have one thing in common: self-care.
But remember, self-care is a full-spectrum subject. This means some subscription boxes that target self-care might not contain the same self-care products.
For example, let’s take a look at the difference between a “Mindful Box” vs. a “Wellness Box”...
A mindful box may include traditional aromatherapy products like essential oils. But they will also include other things like crystals, gemstones, affirmation cards, spiritual tools, and home decor.
Mindful boxes often have meditation “how to” booklets and guides to help you achieve success in meditation.
A wellness box is a little broader. They will usually contain self-care beauty and skincare products, aromatherapy, cleaning supplies, relaxing essentials, and comforting snacks.
Some wellness boxes will include meditation workbooks and other spiritual tools as well.
The main difference, however, is that wellness boxes will often address more of your self-care needs.
So…
Self-care is a very personal practice. What works for one person may not work for you. Below is a company that provides popular mindful and well-being subscription boxes:
Here at Highline Wellness, we allow you to choose your own self-care products that you want to subscribe to. Because let’s be honest, you know yourself better than we do.
So we allow you to choose the products that you feel will work best for your specific self-care needs.
That said, all of our hemp-derived CBD products are single-sourced and 100% free from pesticides, chemicals, metals, and any other toxins.
Our high-quality CBD products include:
With the therapeutic properties of CBD, your self-care needs can finally be addressed in a less invasive way.
And here’s the best part… All of our CBD products mentioned above can be subscribed to as a stress fee box that arrives at your doorstep every month. That way, you never have to worry about reordering the self-care products you so desperately need each month.
But wait…
The benefits of CBD are astounding. But we understand your reservations about taking CBD for your stress and anxiety.
As it turns out, multiple studies show that CBD offers therapeutic properties such as:
But let’s dive into these benefits a little deeper…
The main reason CBD has gained so much popularity is because of its calming properties.
In a 2017 study conducted by the Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry, 57 men had their anxiety levels tested in a stimulated public speaking experiment.
Before their speech, some of the men received a placebo, while the other men received either 150 milligrams, 300 milligrams, or 600 milligrams of CBD.
Researchers noted that the men who received 300 milligrams of CBD experienced less anxiety than the men who received the placebo.
As for the men who received 150 milligrams and 600 milligrams of CBD, they experienced more anxiety than the men who received 300 milligrams of CBD.
However, all men who received CBD had a significant decrease in anxiety than the men who only received the placebo.
While more studies are needed to confirm that CBD offers anxiety-reducing properties, the 2017 Brazilian study is thought-provoking.
With that said, other studies have also seen groundbreaking anxiety-reducing properties from CBD.
In fact, researchers concluded:
“Preclinical evidence strongly supports CBD as a treatment for generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder when administered acutely; however, few studies have investigated chronic CBD dosing. Likewise, evidence from human studies supports an anxiolytic role of CBD, but is currently limited to acute dosing…
Overall, current evidence indicates CBD has considerable potential as a treatment for multiple anxiety disorders.”
Again, more studies are always needed. But the results thus far regarding CBD and anxiety are eye-opening.
Due to CBD’s ability to offer calming properties, it’s no surprise that scientists have conducted studies to see if CBD can help with depression.
Here’s what scientists found…
“Along with its anxiolytic properties, CBD displayed antidepressant efficacy in animal models of depression, inducing an antidepressant-like effect when given alone…”
In a 2010 study involving male Swiss mice, researchers noted that CBD induced similar antidepressant-like effects to that of imipramine, an antidepressant medication.
While both of these studies involved animal models, the results are compelling.
However, human trials are desperately needed to confirm if CBD can provide the same antidepressant effects displayed in the studies above.
Ah, stress!
Stress is our body’s response to danger and overwhelming challenges.
But not all stress is bad. Some acute stress is good. It helps you grow as a person and keeps you away from danger.
With that said, chronic stress can be very bad.
Chronic stress occurs when your body is always in “fight or flight” mode. And if it’s left untreated, mental illness and physical disease can set in.
However, according to research, CBD can influence our Endocannabinoid System to respond to stress more effectively.
In fact, studies show that “even at low doses, CBD acts as an agonist at serotonergic 5-HT1A receptors and blocks stress-induced changes in 5-HT1A receptor gene expression, which reduces anxiety associated with the stress response.
CBD also activates peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (PPARγ) that reduces neuroinflammation and excitotoxicity that is associated with the stress response…”
Pain can take a toll on the human body and emotions, leaving you feeling fatigued, depressed, anxious, and stressed out.
There are many ways you can address your pain, some of which include over-the-counter medications, prescribed opioids, and less invasive home remedies like meditation and an anti-inflammatory diet.
That said, several continued studies in America indicate CBD may help target aches and pains.
This is a touchy subject, partly because when CBD and pain are mentioned in the same sentence, people automatically assume that CBD is being touted as a “cure-all” pain reliever.
The truth is that several of the studies that involve CBD often mention anti-inflammatory properties. And based on anecdotal evidence, many people who consume CBD for pain relief find that high-quality CBD can be effective.
However, more studies are desperately needed regarding this subject, especially in human trials.
As for animal studies, there is one study that found that “prolonged treatment (i.e. > 7 days) with CBD alleviates chronic pain caused by chronic constriction injury of the sciatic nerve in rats and mice in a cannabinoid receptor-independent manner.”
As you can see, CBD offers tremendous therapeutic benefits, most of which are backed by scientific studies.
So, it’s no wonder that so many therapy box subscription services like to include CBD products in their stress-free boxes, anxiety boxes, and anxiety kits.
But…
Some anxiety subscription box services will include calming essential oils, soothing teas, relaxing music, meditation booklets, and CBD-based products.
But you have to be careful because not all CBD products are created using high-quality CBD.
You see, to experience the benefits of CBD, you have to ensure that the product contains hemp-derived CBD.
This is where third-party lab testing is essential.
Third-party lab testing ensures that the CBD product contains CBD and not just hemp seed oil.
Third-party testing also ensures that the final product is free from harmful contaminants like pesticides, metals, toxic chemicals, and other harmful impurities. In other words, it assures that the CBD product is safe to consume.
Finally, third-party testing confirms that the final CBD product is labeled accurately and federally legal to consume and purchase.
Here at Highline Wellness, we take pride in having all of our CBD products vigorously tested by an accredited and unbiased third-party laboratory.
What’s more, all of our CBD products are manufactured in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certified facility. This means that our CBD products are held to the standards and regulations required by the FDA.
Bottom line: Our CBD is sourced from high-quality hemp farms and formulated using only the best manufacturing practices and ingredients.
So…
There are several ways you can incorporate CBD into your self-care routine.
CBD Gummies are perhaps some of the most unique CBD products in the industry. This is because they can be formulated with other therapeutic ingredients to achieve different effects.
For example, our Highline Wellness CBD gummies for sleep are formulated using high-quality melatonin.
The combination of these two ingredients helps promote relaxation and restfulness.
On the other hand, our CBD gummies for energy are formulated using high-quality B12, which is known to increase energy and alertness.
And since CBD is known for its calming effects, pairing it with B12 can help promote energy without feeling jittery or overstimulated.
Some studies have found CBD topicals to be highly effective for joint issues.
Our Highline Wellness CBD relief rollers not only contain the therapeutic properties of CBD, but they also contain lavender extract, soothing peppermint, eucalyptus, and lemon.
The combination of these ingredients helps promote tranquility and tension relief.
As for CBD beauty creams, studies show that CBD holds tremendous antioxidant properties.
According to research, “CBD has potential antioxidant properties because its free cationic radicals exhibit several resonance structures in which unpaired electrons are distributed mainly on ether and alkyl moieties.”
What’s more, “CBD exhibits much more antioxidant activity (30–50%) than α-tocopherol or vitamin C.”
Simply put, applying high-quality CBD cream can take your skincare routine to the next level.
Much like CBD topicals and beauty products, CBD bath bombs essentially work the same way. The only difference is that you get to submerge your entire body into a hot tub of water.
The hot water opens up your pores and allows the CBD to interact with the receptor cells found throughout your skin. This promotes relaxation and helps increase moisturizing.
Our Highline Wellness CBD bath bombs are packed with CBD hemp extract and other soothing ingredients like rose powder, frankincense essential oil, lavender, and more.
CBD oil is still the most popular way that people use CBD.
This is because CBD oil isn’t just used for sublingual purposes. You can add CBD oil to your other skincare creams and lotions, or even apply the oil directly to your skin.
You can use CBD oil to create your own edibles, too!
And much like CBD gummies, CBD oil can be infused with other ingredients like melatonin, lavender, B12, caffeine, and more.
Furthermore, CBD oil is often more potent than other CBD products, so it’s perfect for when you need something a little stronger.
Our Highline Wellness CBD oil comes in various milligrams and serves different purposes.
Incorporating CBD into your self-care routine can be easily done. Just be sure that you choose the right products that meet your specific needs.
As you can see, CBD offers tremendous benefits and is easy to incorporate into your daily routine.
But remember, not all CBD is created equal.
So be sure that your stress relief subscription boxes contain high-quality CBD products from reputable hemp brands.
Stress, anxiety, and depression are often casually mentioned without much thought.
While acute stress is our normal response to danger and challenging situations, chronic stress is not something we should casually overlook.
Each one of these conditions are serious, and they deserve proper care.
We highly encourage you to look into a monthly stress-free and anxiety box subscription service to help keep your self-care needs top of mind.
We also recommend that you speak to your healthcare provider to explore your options regarding therapy for depression and anxiety.
Remember that you’re not alone and that by putting your self-care needs first, you are taking the first step to improve your overall health and well-being.
As always, feel free to Contact Us at Highline Wellness for any questions or concerns. We’re happy to help in any way we can!
]]>“I just need to take care of everything else, and everyone else, and then I’ll take some time for myself.”
That’s what you tell yourself all the time, but do you ever actually do it?
Or are you so burnt out from putting everything and everyone above your own needs, that you forget even to purchase the essentials you’ll need to achieve self-care practices?
That’s where we come in…
Here at Highline Wellness, we want to make your life easier. This is why we offer the best CBD subscription boxes that fit your lifestyle.
From our highly praised and reviewed CBD gummies for sleep, to our pain relief CBD rollers, potent CBD oils, and hydrating CBD bath bombs—we offer effective CBD products for everyone.
And the best part… You can subscribe to monthly deliveries of each of these products whenever you want. That way, you never have to put your self-care on the back burner again.
But we get it, you’re still not sure what a CBD subscription box is…
A CBD box is a subscription service that allows you to receive a box of various hemp-derived products every month for one set fee.
Now before we move on, CBD subscription boxes come in all shapes, sizes, and names.
But regardless of the many names, CBD box, a hemp box, or a hemp crate box, they’re all essentially the same thing… A subscription hemp box that contains various hemp accessories and CBD products.
And let’s just say, it’s a genius “one and done” type of service. You simply order/subscribe to a product or products just once, and you're done! You never have to order those products again.
And the best part is those products magically arrive at your doorstep each month (or whatever time frame you determine). Now that’s what we call making your self-care a priority!
Because here’s the thing… you already have enough to worry about all day every day.
So the last thing you need to stress about is whether you have enough CBD sleep gummies to last for the rest of the month… or if your CBD relief roller is filled up enough to address those relentless aches and pains.
You see, CBD subscription boxes allow you to live your life to the fullest and be the superhuman you want to be, without having to worry about running out of your much-needed CBD essentials.
Do you still need some convincing that CBD subscriptions are the best way for you to receive the self-care you deserve?
Well, let’s take a look at…
We all know that the benefits of CBD are astounding. People across the world rely on CBD to help bring forth balance and relief into their bodies.
We love it!
But the benefits of CBD can’t be had if you don’t have your high-quality CBD on hand when you need it most.
That’s where CBD subscription boxes come into play.
Let’s take a look at the following benefits of CBD club subscription boxes…
If you’re new to CBD, chances are you don’t know which CBD product is going to work best for you yet.
You’re probably wondering: What are the most effective CBD products in the first place?
First things first, every person is different. This means, what works for one person, may not work for you.
So, while CBD capsules may work wonders for one person’s aches and pains, they may not work the same for you.
Instead, you might find that CBD relief creams and rollers work best at relieving normal built-up tension in your body.
But finding the perfect CBD product to address your specific needs can be very overwhelming, especially if you’re a beginner.
That’s why certain CBD membership subscription services make it easy for you to try different CBD-infused products without having to buy the full-sized product.
They call this box a CBD sample box.
Keep in mind that each CBD subscription service is different. But if you’re a beginner, subscribing to a monthly CBD box allows you to try different products to see which ones work best for you and your needs.
Once you discover which CBD products you like best, you can easily subscribe to just those products and do away with the others.
The CBD market is huge! From CBD gummies to flavored CBD tinctures and lip balms, CBD can essentially be infused into anything these days.
So it can be a little stressful navigating through the sea of CBD products on the market today.
While some CBD subscription services specialize in sending you a box of various products to try each month, there are a few brands that allow you to customize your CBD subscription box.
In other words, customizing your CBD subscription box means that you have total control over which CBD products you want to receive every month.
Because at the end of the day, you know what you need best!
What’s more, you can even try different CBD products over a few months to see if you even like them. Then if you find that those products don’t work for you, you can easily switch them out for different ones until you find the right CBD product that works best for you.
One of the biggest perks of subscribing to CBD boxes is that you end up saving tons of money.
Here’s the deal… High-quality CBD isn’t cheap. It takes a lot of testing, good farming practices, safe extraction methods, healthy additional ingredients, and more testing to formulate truly high-quality CBD products.
So, if you’re wanting high-quality CBD that’s truly effective to meet your needs, you’re going to have to spend some money.
However, that doesn’t mean you have to spend your life savings.
Reputable CBD subscription boxes not only focus on creating high-quality products, but they make them attainable at an affordable price.
When you subscribe to a CBD box, you save anywhere from 5% to as much as 20% per purchase.
What’s more, some CBD subscription box services provide their customers the option to choose different subscription tiers.
These tiers may range in different dosages, CBD products, and customization.
Needless to say, you end up saving tons of money when you opt for subscribing to a monthly CBD box.
In our modern world, it’s hard to obtain downtime. But when you do, that precious time shouldn’t be wasted on shopping for your much-needed CBD oil products.
Instead, that free time should be dedicated to doing what you love and enjoy most.
When you opt for subscribing to a monthly CBD box, you not only save money but also gain more free time. You never have to worry about spending your precious time reordering yet another bottle of CBD gummies or CBD oil tinctures again.
Because all you have to do is choose the product you want to subscribe to, pick the date you want it to be delivered at the same time once a month, and that’s it. You’re done!
Now you have the freedom to relax and just let your CBD essentials arrive at your door at the same time once a month. Talk about a stress-free delivery service!
When you subscribe to a monthly CBD subscription box from a reputable CBD brand, you never have to worry about the quality of your products again.
This is because the best CBD brands create their products from high-quality sourced hemp, and they are formulated using the best extraction methods and clean ingredients.
These reputable CBD brands also provide third-party lab reports and excellent customer service to help educate people on their products.
Hemp biochemists are always finding new and inventive ways to deliver CBD to the human body.
When you sign up for a CBD membership through a subscription service, you essentially gain first-hand access to new hemp and CBD-based products before the mass general public.
You also receive emails that will offer you exclusive deals and release dates of the hemp brands’ new products, like CBD lip balms, edibles, and clothing.
CBD is packed with therapeutic benefits. But none of those benefits can be achieved if you don’t take your CBD regularly.
CBD is most effective when you take it consistently.
So, having a subscription to a high-quality CBD box allows you to keep up your CBD regimen without having to worry about reordering every time you run out.
This comes in handy for busy moms, active athletes, and on-the-go professionals.
Running out of CBD can cause a lot of stress, especially if you rely on CBD to get you through the day or night.
Many people use CBD to achieve better sleep, lessen anxiety, reduce aches and pains, and more.
So running out of your CBD can raise some concerns when you need it most.
But when you subscribe to a monthly CBD box, you never have to worry about running out of your CBD again. This is because a CBD subscription box will arrive at your doorstep at the same time every month.
Some CBD subscription services even provide weekly, bi-weekly, and bi-monthly delivery options as well.
Just be sure that you research the CBD product before you subscribe to it.
Now, you’re probably wondering…
Yes! Hemp-derived CBD and hemp-infused products can be subscribed to as long as they contain less than 0.3% THC.
However, there are a few states in America that have developed stipulations regarding the use and purchase of hemp-derived CBD products.
For those reasons, we highly encourage you to check with your state laws before you decide to subscribe to a CBD box.
Also, be sure that the CBD brand you’re considering can ship their monthly crates or CBD health boxes to your state.
If you’re having trouble finding a legit CBD subscription box that you can successfully subscribe to, then visit the CBD Reddit forum.
There you’ll likely learn of the many different CBD subscription box services available.
Unfortunately, many CBD brands that offer crate subscriptions do so only to turn a profit. That’s right, certain shady hemp brands are only out to get your hard-earned money.
But thankfully, Reddit users on the CBD Reddit forums often shed light on which CBD brands create high-quality and truly effective hemp-derived products.
They also share their own experiences on which CBD products performed the best for their needs.
This brings us to…
With the CBD market being as big as it is, finding high-quality CBD can be downright overwhelming.
That’s why we encourage you to do your due diligence and research the CBD brand before you decide to subscribe to their monthly CBD boxes.
Here’s a buying guide that’s super easy to follow…
The first thing you need to look for is if the CBD is sourced from high-quality grown hemp.
Look for hemp that undergoes good farming practices and is free from pesticides, herbicides, and other toxins.
The cleaner the hemp source, the higher the quality of the final CBD extract will be.
Next, you’ll want to see how the Hemp brand extracts its CBD.
Look for clean extraction methods like CO2 extraction.
Also, look for CBD brands that have their products extracted in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certified laboratory. This ensures that the CBD brand is adhering to the regulations and manufacturing standards of the FDA.
Whatever you do, never purchase a CBD product from a brand that doesn’t have their CBD products thoroughly third-party tested.
Third-party testing means that before the final CBD product is sold to the general public, it is first tested by an accredited third-party laboratory to ensure that it is free from harmful chemicals, accurately labeled, and safe to consume.
If the CBD brand doesn’t provide lab testing results, then you’ll want to reach out to them and have them send you the lab results via email.
If they can’t provide the lab test results, it’s best to move on to the next CBD brand.
The last thing you want is to consume a CBD product that hasn’t been tested by a third party for safety and accuracy.
Last but not least, explore the reputation of the CBD brand and its products.
This is where the CBD Reddit forums and customer reviews come in handy.
You can type “CBD edible subscriptions” into the Reddit search bar, and you’ll uncover tons of reviews and info regarding the different CBD brands that offer monthly edible subscription boxes.
This will also work for brands that offer CBD tincture boxes, hemp gift boxes, and more.
Also, look to see if the CBD brand provides educational blog posts and scientific reports. The more a CBD brand educates its readers, the more credible they are.
And finally, be sure to reach out to their customer service team.
Reputable CBD brands value their customers. So they’ll provide top-notch customer service every time you reach out.
Bottom line: If you’re asking, “how do I know if a CBD product is legit?”, then using our buying guide listed above is your answer.
Doing your due diligence in researching the different CBD brands on the market today will always steer you in the right direction to finding the best and safest CBD products to subscribe to.
So…
There are tons of CBD subscription services available on the market. Some of them act as a hub for several CBD brands to choose from.
However, other CBD brands only focus on customers subscribing to their unique products.
These types of brands are usually the best to subscribe to because they only offer their products. Which means all of their attention is focused on creating high-quality hemp-derived products.
That said, here are a few different subscription boxes that you will see advertised in the CBD market:
And the list can go on and on. Some CBD subscription services even provide wholesale subscription boxes for people who are interested in starting their affiliate hemp programs and CBD businesses.
Needless to say, the CBD subscription market is huge. This is why it can be overwhelming to find a CBD subscription service that meets your needs.
Because the truth is, every CBD brand and subscription service will say that they are the best. So it all boils down to doing your due diligence.
We’ll say it again and again: You must research the brand and their products before you subscribe to their product boxes.
Absolutely! As we mentioned above, there are a lot of perks to be had when you sign up for a CBD subscription. Some of which make you feel like a kid again.
Think about it…
As a kid, didn’t you love receiving a package in the mail?
It didn’t matter who it was from, receiving a package with your name on it meant that someone was thinking of you.
Well, that’s the same feeling you’ll experience once a month when you subscribe to a CBD box. But not just any ol’ CBD subscription box. It has to be a legit CBD subscription from a reputable CBD brand.

]]>Hemp is a form of the cannabis plant within the botanical class Cannabis sativa, grown specifically for industrial or medicinal use. One of the most resourceful plants in the world, the stalks of the hemp plant can be used in everything from textile manufacturing to biofuel development, the seeds are used to produce hemp seed oil, and the flowers are used to extract the CBD cannabinoid for use in all kinds of CBD-infused products, from gummies and oils to help you sleep to self-care products like under eye balm and bath bombs.
Marijuana is another form of the cannabis plant and exists in three botanical classes: Cannabis sativa alongside hemp, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. You likely know the terms sativa and indica from the recreational and medical marijuana industries, as those are the two main classes of strains. (Sativas are known for a headier, more creativity-inducing high, while indicas tend to be more relaxing and even sleep-inducing.)
One of the reasons it can seem confusing is that the words ‘marijuana’ and ‘cannabis’ are often used interchangeably, even though cannabis can refer to the entire genus of plants that includes both hemp and marijuana. This is why we’re focusing on the hemp vs. marijuana difference here, since technically they are both forms of cannabis.
And that major hemp vs. marijuana difference is this: marijuana is intoxicating, while hemp is not. This is due to the cannabinoid THC (tetrahydrocannabinol if you’re fancy), the main psychoactive component of cannabis and one of at least 113 total cannabinoids. (CBD, of course, is one of the others.) In other words, marijuana has higher levels of THC, while hemp has virtually none. This chemical distinction is strong enough to inform the legal distinction that made the Farm Bill possible – more on that below!
In the United States, the legal status for hemp vs. marijuana differences is all about the level of THC. Hemp is typically defined as Cannabis sativa plants containing 0.3% THC or less. Any plants that exceed that limit are considered marijuana.
Some states have fully legalized all forms of recreational and medicinal marijuana, others have only legalized medicinal marijuana, and some still have bans on both set in place. But as far as hemp is concerned, the Farm Bill of 2018 (also known as H.R. 2: The Agricultural Improvement Act of 2018) legalized the use of non-THC cannabinoids from the hemp plant grown according to the specifications laid out by the legislation. Some states do have their own hemp laws that don’t match the Farm Bill, though. This handy chart from Leafly includes each state and explains the specific restrictions. In Maine, for example, CBD must be extracted from licensed Maine hemp growers, while Kentucky bans only CBD-infused tea, for some reason. There are only three states in which CBD is illegal in every form, and those are Idaho, Iowa, and South Dakota, but federally, CBD is legal everywhere.
On the federal level, marijuana is still fully illegal, as THC is (still, somehow) considered a Schedule I substance within the Controlled Substances Act. But as we mentioned above, many states have rightfully seen the folly of this outdated designation, changing state laws to legalize marijuana to varying degrees.
As we’ve discussed, one of the major hemp vs. marijuana differences is in their chemistry and characteristics. The amount of THC within a plant will essentially determine whether or not it is marijuana or hemp. While they can both contain varying amounts of CBD as well, hemp is historically known to contain higher levels of CBD. Within the industry, the respective plants are both now bred to favor specific amounts of THC and CBD, which will determine how they are used. High-THC plants will go to recreational and medicinal facilities, while high-CBD plants can be used in the CBD industry to infuse everything from gummies to body cream.
To learn more about how and why cannabinoids like CBD and THC have the effects that they do within the human body, read up on the endocannabinoid system.
Hemp is popularly used in CBD-infused products, but its many other industrial uses include paper, clothing, textiles, animal feed, food products such as hemp milk and hemp protein powder, and even plastic! Hemp actually grows faster than many trees and other crops, so it is viewed as a more sustainable way of producing paper and similar materials such as textiles.
In addition to its industrial applications, hemp that is used to infuse products with CBD has a nice variety of applications, able to potentially help with everything from sleep issues to anxiety to simply promoting a calming sense of well-being and relaxed mindset.
Marijuana is only available in those states which have legalized it. As with the CBD laws by state, check out these lists from Leafly to find out if you’re not sure about your location:
Recreational marijuana is often used in social settings like alcohol, with different effects. Euphoria is a common desired effect, with other psychoactive effects including things like a distorted experience of time and space. Medical marijuana has a wide variety of well-documented uses for issues as serious as cancer and multiple sclerosis to more common experiences like chronic pain.
Hemp is fairly simple to purchase, with items like hemp seed oil available in all the places you’d expect to find herbs, vitamins, supplements, and skincare. When it comes to CBD-infused products, these are pretty easy to find now too, available at a wide variety of stores as well as dispensaries in states where recreational or medical marijuana is legal. And, of course, there’s the Internet, where you can find the widest variety of CBD-infused products of all – including on this very website.
In states where marijuana is fully legalized, anyone can stroll into a dispensary and purchase marijuana in a multitude of forms: flower (the smokable plant), tinctures, concentrates, vape oils, and a wide variety of edibles.
As you can see, the hemp vs. marijuana differences are both simple and complex. Simple in that there are only really two major differences (THC content and legality), but complex in that those two differences make a huge deal in terms of effects and availability. ]]>A good night’s rest is so imperative to your overall health and wellness, affecting everything from mental cognition, physical performance, and even weight gain. One of the most important things you can do to improve your sleep hygiene is to have a consistent evening routine in which you give yourself at least an hour to wind down before bedtime. (Our guide on how to sleep better has even more tips!) But if you need some specific ideas for how to relax during that hour, try our favorite night routine ideas to help you chill out and power down for the evening.
It can be so tempting to scroll through feeds or even just watch some comfort TV before bed, but it’s highly likely that this is having a negative effect on your sleep. By now, most people are pretty familiar with the consequences of blue light emitted from screen, which has a negative effect on the body’s production of melatonin, the naturally occurring hormone that regulates the sleep/wake cycle and other sleep-related functions. In other words, blue light can be highly disruptive to our sleep.
The good news is that all you have to do to fight these effects is simply not use your phone during the evening, particularly in the hour or two prior to bed. Try reading a book instead, or simply winding down for the evening by not doing much of anything at all. But if you must use your phone, computer, or tablet in the evening, make sure to dim the screen (most devices have some form of Night Mode that turns on dimming) or look into blue light glasses, which are designed to block out blue light.
We’re big fans of meditation here, so it’s naturally one of our suggestions for night routine ideas. Meditation is the practice of using techniques to train your attention, achieve a mentally clear state, and promote calmness and serenity. One common technique is to focus your thoughts on a specific object. You can also check out meditation apps like Headspace and Simple Habit, which will have plenty of exercises and guided meditations to help you explore and find out which techniques are best for you.
Meditation might seem a bit intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. You only need to spend a few minutes on it at a time, and guided meditations are super helpful when it seems like calming down your own mind seems impossible. The reason to adopt meditation for night routine ideas is that it can help calm your mind before sleep, which will in turn improve the quality of your sleep overall. But if meditation still isn’t right for you, consider another form of quiet activity that can help settle your mind, such as reading a comforting book or pursuing your preferred form of spirituality.
One of the most common night routine ideas deserves its own shout out because it’s just that relaxing – we are, of course, talking about baths. (But if you’re not a bath person, a warm shower before bed can be just as relaxing!) The relaxing nature of a warm bath is in part thanks to the fact that it lowers your body temperature, encouraging a natural flow into sleep. Heating up the body and then letting it cool naturally is comforting, helping the body transition organically into a peaceful sleep state. Take your relaxation to the next level with a CBD Bath Bomb, packed with rich essential oils, botanicals, and minerals for maximum soothing luxury.
Another fantastic night routine idea is to indulge in a nighttime skincare routine. (Hello, beauty sleep!) The importance of skincare has only grown in popularity and value in recent years, with a plethora of products that are designed for every type of skin and to address all manner of skin needs. Not only will pampering your skin before bed lead to healthier skin overall, but for many the ritual of cleansing and applying creams is relaxing in its own right. Night creams and skin masks are two of the most common skincare items to use before bed, but you might also try CBD-infused skincare products to up the calming effects even more, such as the CBD Under Eye Balm we designed with Alyssa Lynch or our CBD Body Cream, formulated for versatile skincare health.
The act of writing here is key, whether you’re journaling about your day or writing out a list of the next day’s tasks. Reflecting on the day’s events, your own thoughts, and even sharing what you’re grateful for in a journal can be a really helpful way to essentially wrap up the day.
When you don’t feel like anything is left hanging, it’s easier to calm your mind and put yourself in a better position to rest easy, no racing thoughts or worries. In fact, some say that journaling not only improves sleep, but can also help reduce stress and generally improve your overall mood and well-being.
If journaling isn’t quite your thing, wrap up your day by looking ahead to tomorrow. By physically writing down a list of the next day’s tasks, you can ease into sleep with a clear frame of mind, unconcerned about what tomorrow will bring – you’ve already planned it out.
Here’s a night routine idea you can try alongside meditation, writing, or any other form of evening relaxation: CBD as a sleep aid. Research on the effects of CBD on sleep is still preliminary, but its ability to target root causes of poor sleep, such as anxiety, are showing promising results, such as one study which found that about 80% of participants reported decreased anxiety within the first month of CBD use, alongside 67% of participants whose sleep improved, too. Another sleep study, this one conducted by Dr. Olivia Audrey, a board-certified doctor of natural medicine, found that 93% of participants experienced greater quality of sleep after consistent use of CBD night gummies.
All of which is to say, if you’re looking for an all-natural way to promote improved sleep, you might want to consider CBD gummies or CBD oils. If you need some help figuring out which CBD sleep product is right for you, we have that covered too. Everyone knows that 4/20 is an important day for cannabis enthusiasts. That infamous day has its roots in California in the 1970s – of course. A group of students heard that there was a cannabis farm growing in the woods near their school, so every day they got together at 4:20 to search for it. They never found the farm, but the time turned into a code that has now become a veritable international phenomenon.
In that spirit, it’s clear that CBD should have its own day, too. An attempt was made to label 7/10 as Cannabis Oil Day, which still puts the focus on cannabis oils and extracts, but comes a bit closer to CBD since CBD oils have become a popular alternative. This one is fun because the day was chosen for a great reason: the number 710 resembles the word OIL upside down.
That brings us to National CBD Day – why August 8th? Why now? The answer isn’t quite as fun as the history of 4/20 or even the choice of 7/10, but we’re still happy it exists! It turns out that anyone can apply to make a national holiday out of virtually any reason, simply by appealing to the National Day Calendar, a North-Dakota based company whose bread and butter is in promoting national holidays and even creating new ones. (You can apply to create national weeks or months through them, as well.) You might be able to guess the rest: a CBD manufacturer applied to make National CBD Day a reality, the future-minded four-person committee at the National Day Calendar voted in favor of their application, and we’re all the better for it.
This year, we’re celebrating National CBD Day with a BOGO 50% off sale! From CBD gummies and oils to topicals and kits, whether you’re looking to improve your sleep or unwind and relax, now’s your chance to buy one of your favorite CBD goods and get the second for half off! Need some help deciding what to try? You can always take our CBD Quiz, or you can keep reading to find out the perfect CBD item for you based on your star sign!
While brainstorming fun ways to celebrate the day, a CBD Zodiac instantly came to mind. As a culture, we’re more obsessed than ever with astrology, so we’ve paired up each Highline Wellness CBD item with the astrological sign that perfectly matches it.

]]>Next to CBD for sleep, CBD for anxiety is growing in popularity and usage. We’re here to talk about why that is and whether or not CBD for anxiety might be right for you!
Anxiety is the umbrella term for feelings of dread, fear, and uneasiness. Sometimes these feelings are accompanied with physical symptoms like sweating, restlessness, tension, and rapid heartbeat. Occasional anxiety is a perfectly normal experience; as we mentioned, everyone feels it every now and then. Viewed one way, anxiety is similar to the fight or flight response, the brain’s way of reacting to stress and even alerting you to a potential crisis.
Anxiety disorders, on the other hand, are more intense. Classified as mental illnesses, anxiety disorders cause constant and overwhelming anxiety, which often leads to avoiding work, school, and situations that might induce or intensify these feelings. Some examples of common anxiety disorders include generalized anxiety disorder (excessive, unrealistic anxiety with or no little reason), panic disorder (intense fear that brings on a panic attack), and social anxiety disorder (overwhelming worry about everyday social interactions).
The main symptom of anxiety is excessive fear or worries, but other common symptoms include:
As with any serious medical condition, we urge you to consult your doctor first and foremost if you’re experiencing the symptoms of anxiety disorders. Doctors can prescribe medical treatments for anxiety disorders, often antidepressants or counseling, such as cognitive behavioral therapy. But when it comes to the more garden variety anxiety that most of us feel in our daily lives, there are definitely some fairly simple ways you can combat anxiety.
Some ways to cope with everyday anxiety include:
That brings us to the subject of CBD for anxiety. The FDA has not yet approved any over-the-counter medications that include CBD that specifically target anxiety, but a great deal of research is pointing toward CBD’s ability to potentially provide relief in this arena.
According to a study published in Neurotherapeutics, existing preclinical evidence strongly supports the potential of CBD as a treatment for anxiety disorders. Another study that took a look at CBD for anxiety and sleep concluded that CBD may hold benefit for anxiety-related disorders; in fact, CBD for sleep is often cited as potentially helpful (have you tried our night gummies?) because CBD may be able to help target root causes of poor sleep, such as anxiety. Yet another study, this one published in the peer-reviewed journal Biomolecules, found that preliminary clinical trials support the efficacy of CBD as an anxiolytic (meaning anti-anxiety), antipsychotic, and antidepressant.
There’s plenty of anecdotal support too, including an article in Byrdie by a writer who took CBD oil for anxiety every day and reported how it made her feel: “Rather than overthinking a sternly worded email or analyzing a social interaction, I found it easier to recognize the irrationality of these thoughts and actually let them go.”
Depending on your needs and preferences, we have a few recommendations for CBD for anxiety to help you unwind and relax.
Face daily stresses with: our CBD Oil, which offers on-the-go relief for when you need just the right amount of calm and relaxation. Quick and effective anytime and anywhere, all you have to do is drop a little CBD Oil in your favorite beverage or under your tongue.
Promote calm with: our Anytime CBD Gummies. Similar to our CBD oil except in gummy form, try these to calm your mind and support relaxation. Take it from one of our reviewers: “These gummies give me a perfect controlled calm. I highly recommend!”
Alleviate unwanted tension with: our CBD Relief Roller, designed to help with stress and headaches. Featuring a formula that includes essential oils such as lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus and lemon, our CBD oil roll-on targets areas of pressure and pain in a manner that is easy, discreet, and made from natural ingredients.

The use of weighted blankets as sleep devices for insomnia has been steadily growing. Many people swear by the power of the extra weight these blankets place on the body while sleeping; research even backs up the notion that weighted blankets may reduce anxiety as well as support sleep. Older weighted blankets usually have small items sewn inside to make them feel heavier, such as pellets or ball bearings. Newer blankets tend to use chunky materials to give the product weight, which is both healthier and more sustainable – bringing us to our pick for the best weighted blanket, the Bearaby Cotton Napper.
What does sleep technology even mean? Well, exactly what it sounds like: sleep devices that rely on technology to help you reach your destination of healthy sleep. Forget about those old school white noise machines – our pick goes to the Hatch Restore. Take a look at everything it offers, all in one easy-to-use bedside device.
A classic product to help sleep that has only been slightly updated by modern technology is the good old eye mask. We chose the Nidra Deep Rest Eye Mask for our list of the best sleep products because of its innovative design. Unlike a traditional sleep mask, this mask features contoured eyecups that arch over your eyes, which creates space for movement. In addition to the eye cups, an unstructured nose gap and wider overall design means that these masks are well-suited for a larger variety of faces.
Night shift workers will sing the praises of blackout curtains, but their ability to make a room stay dark may be just as valuable for anyone struggling to get to sleep at night too. When it comes to value and functionality, you can’t beat the NICETOWN Solid Thermal Insulated Blackout. Here’s why.
The WHOOP 4.0 says it all in its tagline: tracks everything, feels like nothing. This wearable band doesn’t have a screen, but it doesn’t need one. It is consistently rated as the sleep tracker with the easiest-to-read data, all of which is easily accessible in the WHOOP App. Log in and get real-time feedback on sleep, training, recovery, and health.
As an alternative to over the counter sleep aids, the Highline Wellness CBD Night Gummies for Sleep – or CBD Night Oil for Sleep if that is your preferred format – are the way to go. ]]>As humanity has learned more and more about our own bodies and the natural world, the connections between different aspects only come into sharper focus. In this case, we mean the connection between sleep and food. There’s even something called the sleep diet, a concept which is built around the idea that you can lose weight by sleeping more.
It’s all about what your metabolism needs to function properly. Many factors contribute to a well-functioning metabolism, but there’s one that we’re particularly concerned with here: adequate sleep! That’s right: your metabolism will not be at peak performance unless you’re getting enough quality sleep each night. (Shocking, right?)
So how much sleep is enough? The exact amount varies from person to person, but it is commonly understood that 7-9 hours is the ideal range for most people. As we mentioned, research has linked having less than 7 hours of sleep per night with weight gain and a higher body mass index. Another study that focused specifically on short sleep duration found a link between insufficient sleep and increased risk of obesity by 89% in children and 55% in adults. Worst of all, it’s a cycle that perpetuates itself: common sleep issues tend to be made worse by weight gain, which itself can degrade your sleep quality, rinse and repeat.
Appetite plays a role here, too. Those who are sleep-deprived are more likely to have a bigger appetite, most likely due to the effect that poor sleep has on the hormones that control hunger. Research has found that sleep deprivation may result in people consuming more calories the next day, with proportionately higher fat and lower protein intakes. Think about it from your own life: how often have you just grabbed a quick snack when tired instead of taking the time to craft a nutritious meal?
If lack of sleep does cause weight gain, the flip side is that good, quality sleep can help with physical fitness. For one thing, if you’re tired, you likely won’t have the energy to exercise in the first place. If you try to get it done anyway, you’ll probably tire yourself out more quickly and accomplish much less than if you were operating with a full night’s rest.
In addition to improving your athletic performance and eating habits, other positive effects of healthy sleep include improved cognitive function, which helps to maintain a positive mindset and more efficiently absorb information; maintaining a strong immune system; and keeping energy levels up overall.
Luckily for you, we’re obsessed with sleep, so if you need some help in improving your sleep, we’ve got you covered from every angle.
In addition to lifestyle changes, another way to avoid lack of sleep causing weight gain is to try incorporating CBD into your routine. (Just don’t forget to check with your doctor first, as you should before trying any new supplements.) Researchers have discovered that lack of sleep actually alters your endocannabinoid levels, which are the chemical signals that affect appetite. Not only do these results potentially help explain the link between poor sleep and weight gain, but they also may help explain why CBD can help bring balance with sleep and appetite!
Recall the existence of the endocannabinoid system, a biological system in the human body, that is composed of endocannabinoids, cannabinoid receptors, enzymes, neurons, and neural pathways. Two of the processes that the ECS helps to keep properly functioning are sleep and appetite, bringing us full circle to how CBD may be able to help support improved sleep.
CBD is all-natural (just like the hormone melatonin, another common sleep aid) and well-tolerated by the body. While research on CBD for sleep is still in the preliminary stages, there are signs that point to beneficial outcomes. We even commissioned our own CBD sleep study with a board-certified doctor of natural medicine, which found that 93% of participants experienced greater quality of sleep after consistent use of CBD Night Gummies for Sleep and 86% of participants experienced a greater ability to fall asleep overall. Gummies are not the only way to get CBD for sleep though, so check out our guide to the right CBD sleep product for you if you’re curious about other forms!
So does lack of sleep cause weight gain? Unfortunately, it looks like the answer is more or less yes. Luckily, the path to improved sleep is in your hands and we’re here to help. Check out all our CBD for sleep products and keep your eyes on our blog, where we’re always sharing the latest information on how CBD can improve sleep, health, and wellness. ]]>Often we don’t even realize quite how stressed we are, figuring that we probably just worked too hard that day or didn’t get enough sleep. While those things may also be true, stress isn’t something you just have to put up with; there are no awards for working through it, only to be faced with another stressful day tomorrow.
Learn how to recognize the symptoms, accept them for what they are, and consider the ways you can manage it, one day at a time.
Let’s start by recognizing what stress is: the reaction of the body to a perceived threat or challenge, anything that upsets the balance or presents a barrier. You surely know the expression “fight or flight,” which is essentially the binary of human reactions to stressful situations. We try to fight it or we run away. When we’re stressed, the body experiences a multitude of effects in the moment: increased heart rate, quickened breath, tightened muscles.
In our modern life, where we rarely have to actually fight to protect ourselves, the physical effects of stress can manifest in even more spiraling ways – we’ll get into those below. The other thing about stress is that, as with most human experiences, everyone has different stressors. Some people are better able to handle stress on the job, others have no problem confronting drama among friends.
Our bodies are actually equipped to handle stress, when it comes in small doses. Reacting quickly in a traffic situation, for example, can make a massive difference. Feeling stressed at work might also end up empowering you to rise to the challenge of your task or, on the flipside, finally seek out a new job. But long-term stress will have consequences and can wreak havoc on your personal life.
Physical Symptoms of Stress
Emotional Symptoms of Stress
Mental Symptoms of Stress
In addition to all the bodily symptoms of stress, you might experience changes in your behavior, too. Are you suddenly procrastinating way more than usual? Are you skipping meals or overindulging? Do you find yourself reaching for that bottle of wine every other night instead of only on the weekends? All of these, especially if you’re suddenly experiencing them much more often than usual, can potentially be chalked up as symptoms of stress.
How to Deal With Symptoms of Stress
So now we’ve identified many of the most common symptoms of stress. We’ve all experienced probably everything on this list at some point; it becomes an issue that needs to be handled when these symptoms are regular parts of everyday life. But they don’t have to be! As easy as it is to become stressed, especially in our fast-paced modern world, treating the majority of these symptoms can be fairly simple, too. (Keep in mind that as with any chronic condition, you should always consult with your doctor if symptoms are severe. You should also check with your doctor before adding new supplements or nutritional products to your wellness routine.)
A major way to combat the symptoms of stress is through lifestyle changes related to nutrition, sleep, and exercise. A nutritionally balanced diet supports a healthy immune system, which in turn gives your body more support to help ease your reactions to stressful situations.
Lack of quality sleep is well-known to have immediate negative effects on hormones, physical performance, and cognitive function – all of which will make stress feel even more, well, stressful. Better sleep will reverse the situation, improving performance and cognition alike. (We think about sleep a lot, so you might want to check out our top 6 tips on how to sleep better and how to fix your sleep schedule in 4 simple steps.)
Lastly, it always seems to come back to exercise, doesn’t it? But research shows time and time again that regular exercise is good for you in so many ways, including improving your mood, boosting your energy, and promoting better sleep. The thing about exercise is that you have to find something you enjoy doing – even going for a simple walk every morning counts! Find what you love, stick to it, and feel the stress start to melt away.
While this is a lifestyle change too, we wanted to hone in on the specific stress-relieving benefits of meditation, breathwork, and other forms of wellness that intersect with mindfulness, particularly because one of the most common symptoms of stress is racing thoughts. Meditation is the practice of using techniques to train your attention, achieve a mentally clear state, and promote calmness and serenity – a great, natural way to combat those racing thoughts. Focus on deep breaths and remember that nothing changes overnight. Meditation and mindfulness, as any other form of exercise, take a certain amount of commitment to feel the effects.
We would be remiss if we didn’t mention that CBD is another natural way to potentially alleviate the symptoms of stress. With CBD’s newfound popularity, research will be ongoing for years to come to better understand its effects, but several studies suggest that CBD may have positive effects on those dealing with stress. Other conditions that seem to benefit from CBD include chronic pain, anxiety, and insomnia – all of which tend to be connected to stress in one way or another.
Thanks to the way that CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, it may be able to provide a greater sense of calmness and well-being, borne out by numerous anecdotal experiences. Try CBD Day Gummies for Focus for a morning dose, Anytime CBD Gummies for when you feel stress coming on, and CBD Night Gummies or CBD Oil for Sleep at bedtime, especially if poor sleep is one of your major stress symptoms. If you prefer your CBD in oil form, CBD Oil is another option you can take at any time, easily dropped into your morning coffee or evening tea. If persistent headaches or aches and pains count among your symptoms, try topicals like the CBD Relief Roller or CBD Fitness Cream.
From more tips for natural ways to deal with the symptoms of stress to the latest news about ongoing research into CBD, head to our blog for all things wellness. You’ll find the answers to whether or not you can use CBD for muscle pain, if CBD is good for focus, and even more. Learn more about our favorite compound in our CBD 101 guide and check out our product quiz if you need some help figuring out your ideal form of CBD.
We’ve discussed how CBD cream for pain may support the active release technique, an aggressive form of stretching favored by some chiropractors. But today we’re going a little more broad to focus on muscle pain in general. We’ll be getting into the science of CBD for muscle pain relief and sharing specific tips for which form of CBD may be ideal for you, and more.
One of the most common CBD for muscle pain uses is workout recovery. Post-workout soreness is typically due to miniscule damage caused to muscle fibers during certain muscle contractions. Inflammation tends to accompany this damage as well, resulting in aches and pains that are relatively minor and yet still unwanted. Anyone can be afflicted with muscle soreness, from seasoned athletes to training newbies. The stresses being placed on your muscles are causing them to adapt, leading to improved strength and performance. But just because it’s a normal effect doesn’t mean you have to suffer through it! Enter CBD.
The key to CBD’s effectiveness is the relationship this compound has with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS). A biological system just like the nervous, respiratory, or immune systems (among others), the ECS has special receptors that receive and transmit signals within the body. Known as cannabinoid receptors, these are closely associated with appetite, pain, mood, and memory.
The ultimate goal of the ECS is to promote balance within the body. The system is designed to interact specifically with human-produced endocannabinoids, but phytocannabinoids like CBD are so structurally similar that the ECS interacts with them, too. As a result, CBD is able to respond to stressed receptors and help bring them back into balance. And that brings us back to pain, specifically CBD for muscle pain in this case.
Pain relief is one of the most studied aspects of CBD. That being said, it’s still a relatively new form of potential treatment, so we can look forward to many more studies and research to come in the future. But there’s plenty of scientific findings to consult now, as well. Consider this review of 100+ studies, which concluded that CBD may reduce inflammation in the body, as well as help with pain and mobility for multiple sclerosis patients. The results are not necessarily conclusive with regard to CBD for muscle pain, but the authors do suggest that CBD has anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, and neuroprotective properties, all of which point to a link between CBD and reduced inflammation.
According to the National Library of Medicine, over 7,000 studies have been conducted exploring the relationship between CBD and/or THC and pain. A few of the more popular studies that have found a compelling link between the two include:
Topical CBD is the most commonly recommended form for muscle pain, due to the incredibly absorptive powers of human skin, and the ability to place it directly where it hurts. It all comes back to the ECS, too – did you know that we have cannabinoid receptors in our epidermal and dermal skin? For that reason, topical CBD offers localized relief, specific to where you rub it on the body.
Two examples of topical options include CBD Fitness Cream and the CBD Relief Roller. The CBD Fitness Cream pairs CBD with light cooling menthol for relief and recovery when rubbed onto areas of soreness. Apply to a tight neck and shoulder muscles after sitting at a desk all day, or keep it stashed in your gym bag for a post-workout massage. The CBD Relief Roller is ideal for targeting pressure points such as the forehead, wrist, and temples. It combines CBD with essential oils for an experience that is strong enough to relieve tension and small enough to go with you anywhere. To support both cooling and calming effects, the blend of essential oils includes lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus and lemon.
CBD for muscle pain can be a helpful over-the-counter alternative to soothing sore muscles and achy body parts, whether that’s from an intense gym sesh or the daily desk job grind. ]]>So, can it be that CBD is good for focus? It may sound contrary to what you’ve heard, given that CBD is most commonly associated with pain and stress management. At first glance, those don’t seem related to focus at all. But they are connected, and here’s how: because CBD may be able to support the body in reducing stress by promoting a calming sense of well-being and encouraging better sleep, a natural result is an increase in energy levels and one’s ability to concentrate.
It’s also important to note that while cannabis is frequently associated with reduced energy and even outright sleepiness, a different compound is at work when you’re using hemp-derived CBD, which is the form of CBD that was legalized for federal use. Hemp-derived CBD, the kind used at Highline and in the majority of CBD products for sale anywhere, will not make you feel high or lethargic!
One compelling study from 2015 found that CBD actually improved facial emotion recognition at 60% emotional intensity. This suggests that CBD can play a crucial role in cognitive functioning, which is a vital component of focus.
Since CBD is still fairly new on the market, more research needs to be conducted in order to make any definitive claims about its relationship to focus. Coffee and caffeine, on the other hand, have been around as a method for promoting focus for… well, what seems like forever! One study published in The Journal of Internal Medicine found that coffee and CBD trigger some of the same pathways in the brain, including neurotransmitters related to the ECS.
Given that intriguing finding, it stands to reason that CBD may be able to promote focus in the same way that caffeine does precisely because they both activate some of the same pathways in the ECS. Some CBD oils and gummies are even formulated with caffeine in order to take advantage of the potentially symbiotic relationship of the two to promote focus without the jitters that caffeine can cause for some. There’s even anecdotal reports that suggest taking CBD with caffeine increases a sense of focus while taking the edge off the caffeine. CBD with caffeine might just be an ideal way to get the ideal form of CBD for focus.
But there’s more to whether or not CBD is good for focus, and it has to do with our favorite biological system: the endocannabinoid system. The endocannabinoid system is composed of a number of different types of neurotransmitters, some of which can be triggered by CBD (hence ‘cannabinoid’ in the name). The ECS helps to promote homeostasis, or overall balance, in the body. Since CBD can help provide some of that balance, symptoms that can have a negative effect on your energy may be alleviated. Thus, with relief comes the ability to better focus!
That relief can come in a variety of different forms, too. One of the most common uses of CBD is to help with anxiety relief. In that regard, CBD may be able to improve focus by reducing anxiety. Another common use for CBD is to target sleep issues. This is another natural connection and indirect way to use CBD for focus: poor sleep naturally leads to poor focus and low energy.
CBD also interacts with hormones in the body, which may be one reason it is able to help reduce stress. Whenever you feel stressed, your body produces the hormone cortisol. High cortisol levels are linked to difficulty focusing. Studies have found that CBD may be able to help you deal with stress by interacting with the extra cortisol your body produces, thus improving your ability to focus.
When it comes to the types of CBD for focus, you have a few options. CBD Day Gummies for Focus combine all-natural, hemp-derived CBD with Vitamin B12, known for its potential to promote a well-balanced energy boost with a heightened sense of clarity. If you prefer your CBD in fast-acting form, the CBD Day Oil is another option.
If you prefer your CBD for focus to include caffeine, the CBD Energy Oil includes Green Tea Extract, which contains less caffeine than coffee but enough to produce an effect. It also contains the amino acid L-theanine, which may be able to work synergistically with caffeine to boost brain function. If you want a higher dose of caffeine, the CBD Energy Gummies should do just the trick.
Have you been wondering, is CBD good for focus? Now you know that signs point to yes! From help to focus on your workday, passion projects, or even meditation, CBD just might be able to provide the brain boost you need. If you need a little more help figuring out where to start with CBD, our Quiz makes it easy by narrowing down options based on your desires. Whether putting a little CBD oil in one’s morning coffee or taking a CBD and caffeine product, many people swear by the combo! Keep reading for a few key benefits of taking CBD and caffeine together.
The big question is are CBD and caffeine safe? CBD is still fairly new on the market so more research needs to be done to make any definitive claims, but anecdotal evidence is pointing to the relative safety of CBD with caffeine. The exact interaction between CBD and caffeine is not completely understood, but one study published in The Journal of Internal Medicine did find that coffee and cannabis triggers some of the same pathways in the brain, including neurotransmitters related to the endocannabinoid system.
It’s entirely possible that CBD is able to counteract some of the jitters that caffeine can cause precisely because they both activate some of the same pathways in the ECS. Anecdotally speaking, some reports suggest that taking CBD with caffeine increases a sense of focus while taking the edge off the caffeine. If you’re drawn to the alertness-inducing properties of caffeine but tend to get wired after just one cup, a little bit of CBD might be the perfect way to mellow out while still partaking in the benefits of both.
That being said, it’s always a good idea to check with your doctor before trying new supplements. If you’re new to CBD, make sure to start with a small dosage, and always check in on the quality of the products you’re purchasing, such as viewing their Certificate of Analysis (COA), a lab test that is essentially a list of compounds within the product.
The benefits of CBD may include everything from anxiety relief to general sleep troubles (check out our night gummies!); check out our CBD 101 guide for more in-depth information on the benefits, effects, types, and more. But the major reason that CBD and caffeine make such great bedfellows is the way that the effects can work together to even each other out for the best of both worlds.
One of the most common benefits that people cite from taking CBD with their daily dose of caffeine is that they get the alertness they want from the caffeine, without the unwanted jitters that can come along with drinking a few cups.
Because CBD is known to have a calming and stress-reducing effect, many people feel that the effects of CBD counteract the negative side effects of consuming caffeine.
Occasionally, some people report that CBD makes them drowsy, especially if they are sensitive to cannabinoids. By combining your daily dose of CBD with caffeine, you’ll get the stress-reducing effects of taking CBD while still feeling alert from the caffeine!
Caffeine can increase feelings of anxiousness in people who are sensitive to it, but those side effects can be combated by taking a dose of CBD, which may be able to help reduce stress.
CBD and caffeine can both increase your ability to focus on the task at hand, making it the ultimate combination for your task-filled work day. Play around with the perfect balance between CBD and caffeine to find a dosage that increases focus without making you drowsy or jittery.
You have some options when it comes to CBD and caffeine products. If you’re looking to skip or replace your daily coffee with a CBD product that includes caffeine, our CBD Energy Gummies are the ideal choice. Each gummy contains 10mg of CBD and 20mg of caffeine to help you calmly rise to the next level. Not only are they tasty — watermelon flavored! — but they also contain no shady ingredients.
If you do want to stick to drinking your caffeine, you can do that with CBD too – thanks to our CBD Energy Oil! Also naturally watermelon flavored, spice up your morning glass of water with a dropper full of oil for that focused feeling without the jitters. The caffeine in our oil comes from green tea, which contains less caffeine than coffee but enough to produce an effect. Green tea also contains the amino acid L-theanine, which can work alongside caffeine to potentially enhance brain function.
Whether you prefer your caffeine in CBD gummies or CBD oils, you can feel good about what you’re putting into your body, since all of our products are independently tested and reviewed. ]]>Please note: This CBD sleep study is in no way intended or used as an equivalent or replacement for the care of participants healthcare providers. Before beginning any supplement or program, please check with your doctor or healthcare provider directly.
Recently, I conducted a single-blind, voluntary CBD and sleep study featuring Highline Wellness’ CBD Night Gummies to test the results on people from many different backgrounds and lifestyles in order to assess the effectiveness of CBD as it relates to sleep. We began by doing a thorough analysis of any external factors that may be affecting the sleep patterns of the participant – this included everything from discussing their individual stress levels to their intake of caffeine, energy drinks and other sleep disrupting stimulants. The main focus was to eliminate any accessory, additional patterns or behaviors that could be prohibiting normal sleep cycles. Ultimately, we wanted to determine that any sleep gain or loss wouldn’t be attributed to a simple schedule change or lifestyle decision to go to bed earlier.
As you may have guessed, there is no shortage of people who suffer from the effects of insomnia , ultimately rooted in one constant, universal truth: They ALL wanted a solution to sleep better. Nearly all of the participants had tried some type of sleep enhancer at some point in their journey, from melatonin to prescription sleep aids. With that said, none of them had found immediate, lasting relief, and certainly none without risks and side effects. Many had heard of the benefits of CBD before, but few were educated on how essential CBD is to the body, from sleep regulation to immune system and nervous system function. In order to get a truly accurate result, participants were divided into two groups, named Group A and Group B. Group A began with a placebo gummy to control the contrast between the two groups. Group B began with activated CBD Night Gummies, and neither group was aware of the participants or experience of the other group in order to mitigate the effects of shared communication, experience, sensation, and more..
Normally, the results of a single blind study may be more difficult to follow in the short term, as most results are accrued over time and cumulative effect. However, the results of Highline Wellness CBD Night Gummies were almost immediate. Within two days, and most within the first 24 hours in Group B began to experience substantial, if not total relief of insomnia, anxiety and even mental overstimulation, or racing thoughts. This happened while Group A continued to experience insomnia and other conditions they had been previously experiencing.
The difference was drastic between the two groups, where 85% participants began to notice significant differences in their lives as whole. Enhanced work performance, higher energy levels, and less aches and pains replaced the usual complaints they had been facing prior to the study. Halfway through the CBD and sleep study, inactivated gummies were swapped out for activated gummies between the two groups, meaning Group A was now receiving an inactivated supply, while group B began to take activated gummies. Again, the results were astounding, with 85% of participants who had difficulty falling asleep experienced relief with one dosage, while the remaining 25% who had difficulty staying asleep, experienced relief within three days.
These comparisons were impressive, even by conservative means, with 100% of participants having a repeat experience of total relief of sleep difficulty within one week’s time. The effects of CBD have been studied for some time, and most recently hailed as an established treatment for insomnia by major research (1.) So the discovery that CBD worked for sleep disturbances wasn’t as profound, as how well it worked, seen showcased in this specific CBD sleep study. Interestingly, as Group A began to supplement the inactivated gummies, their prior issues began to resurface, such as anxiety, chronic aches and pains and the inability to quiet their mind. However, this change wasn’t immediate. This is likely due to the symbiotic nature of CBD on the body, and its internal Cannabinoid receptors. When an individual is deficient in the required amounts to satisfy those receptors, an imbalance can occur.
Since Group A had established a satiety of those required amounts initially, they experienced relief. Their natural sleep cycles were getting the necessary ingredients to do what the body does best - thrive. After their CBD levels began to decline again after discontinuing activated gummies and beginning a placebo gummy, their issues began to return. This time, after experiencing relief from the gummies, the difference was much more noticeable. Through this process, they were given a glimpse of what their body is naturally inclined to do – sleep and wake in normal patterns, and the ability to calm their mind and their bodies. Due to the high quality and manufacturing standards of Highline Wellness, these participants experienced an even greater degree of relief than a lesser grade or lower spectrum CBD. Much like probiotics, the spectrum of CBD is also important, as each component of the Terpenes and Cannabinoids provide different uses, and an isolated or more specific extract may not allow users to experience the relief that a broad spectrum CBD would. With that said, Highline Wellness has created a very user friendly, all encompassing product, designed to address a wider range of sleep issues. I believe that CBD can be not only supplemental, but based on the results of this CBD sleep study, incredibly essential in helping individuals achieve relief with a variety of sleep and wellness issues.. The superiority of the Highline Wellness CBD Gummies for Sleep stands alone as a supplement in the arena of CBD products as well, with 100% of participants reporting they would be long term consumers of these gummies, even having never purchased before. The bar has been set high with Highline Wellness – I'm a believer myself and now, a lifetime customer.
]]>If you’ve ever had one too many bad night’s rests, consider a sleep hygiene checklist to help reset your routine. Whether you treat it like an actual checklist you mark off or a mental one to help wind down your day, it’s sure to help bring some peace to your evenings.
Healthy sleep for everyone is important to us. Check out our blog for more sleep hygiene checklist tips, such as how to fix your sleep schedule in four steps, CBD for insomnia, and even more. Learn even more about the little compound that could in our CBD 101 guide and try our product quiz for a different approach to finding the right CBD product for you!
One of the most important components of overall wellness is balance. A balanced life means having enough time to devote to personal fulfillment, everything from pursuing your passions and hobbies, spending time with friends and family, staying fit and active, and engaging with your community. At the other end of the balanced spectrum is relaxation and sleep, as down time gives us the opportunity to self-reflect, rest, and even reset.
The benefits of a well-rounded lifestyle can be physical, social, and/or emotional. A balanced life is one in which your everyday activities provide a mixed bag of benefits. For example, going for a jog can help improve bone and muscle strength and boost your cardiovascular system – that’s the physical benefit. Jog with a friend and you’re adding a social benefit. Whether you’re jogging solo or with a partner, there’s an emotional benefit, too: jogging is a great stress reliever.
Another component to nurturing a balanced life is to do so mindfully. While mindfulness is often associated with meditation and breathing exercises, it’s also more broadly a state of mind. To be mindful, at its core, is to be present. Be present in all your daily activities, inviting an awareness of your own sensations as well as the surrounding environment. Mindfulness can help you live a more peaceful, stress-free life, allowing you to achieve all your wellness goals.
The best wellness goals can be applied to a broad spectrum of daily life, such as developing and sticking to daily routines. One way to tap into the power of planning is to start by writing out your daily schedule. Not only can this help you set intentions for the day in terms of the tasks you need to accomplish, but it can also ensure that you’re actually setting aside time to go for that daily jog, read 30 pages of that book, or prep that evening’s meal.
Routines will become habits if you stick with them. At the same time, it’s important to be flexible. If your routine just feels like a chore, give yourself the flexibility to reimagine how you’d like to carve out time in your day. Start small, such as making a ritual out of your evening wind down, whether that means journaling for 15 minutes or taking CBD Night Gummies for sleep 30 minutes before bed.
Speaking of nighttime routines, one of the most beneficial wellness goals you can have is to improve the quality of your sleep. Not only does quality sleep physically revive you, but it can also boost your memory, help protect you against illness, and improve your overall health and well-being. Ensure you’re getting enough sleep, between 7-9 hours for most adults, and embrace habits that promote more restful sleep, such as avoiding screen use before bedtime.
If you need some extra help chilling out before bed, CBD Oil for sleep is an all-natural alternative, especially when using a formula paired with melatonin, the naturally occurring hormone produced by our bodies which helps to regulate the sleep-wake cycle. Studies have even found an improvement in sleep quality within the first month in patients taking CBD. ]]>Good sleep is important for so many reasons: it can help you improve both eating and exercise habits, as well as just be healthier overall. Lack of quality sleep, on the other hand, has immediate negative effects on hormones, physical performance, and cognitive function, not to mention the potential to lead to both weight gain and increased risk of disease.
So it’s obvious: we all want to know how to sleep better. Whether you’re sick of feeling tired every morning or just want to be healthier, read on for our top six tips!
One of the first steps to improving your sleep begins long before it’s time to hit the hay. It all goes back to the circadian rhythm, which is the natural way that our bodies keep track of time. The circadian rhythm helps us stay awake and lets us know when it’s time to go to sleep. One of the ways this happens is through exposure to natural sunlight during daytime hours.
One study found that in folks with insomnia, exposure to bright light during the day not only improved their sleep, but it also cut down the time it took to fall asleep by a whopping 83%! One easy walk to do this is to incorporate daily walks into your routine, whether in the morning before work or a quick one before or after lunchtime. But if that’s not an option, consider artificial light devices – especially during the winter months!
We often tout the benefits of physical activity – we already recommended daily walks, for one thing – but it’s truly one of the most effective ways to enhance not just sleep but overall health. The key to improving sleep through exercise is to avoid doing it too late in the day, as that might have the opposite effect due to the fact that exercise stimulates the body and increases adrenaline. Combine tips 1 and 2 and head outdoors for a run, jog, or yoga at the park during the summer months.
We know how important it is to have a sleep schedule, which is why we shared four simple ways to make it happen. When considering how to sleep better, a schedule that you stick to is an absolute must. The key to this is going to bed and getting up at the same time every day. According to the Mayo Clinic, the recommended amount of sleep for healthy adults is at least seven hours a night. Bake in one hour to let your body wind down, and most folks get a good amount with eight hours of time spent in bed. Find your ideal window – for some that’s 11pm to 7am, for others it might be 10pm to 6am – and be consistent.
Here’s one of our favorite tips for how to sleep better because it lets you indulge in either retail therapy or the art of rearranging. Generally speaking, the best environment for sleeping is one that is cool, dark, and quiet. If your room has too many light sources, consider shades or curtains that darken the space. It also helps to be comfy and cozy, so consider upgrading your comforter and sheets to more soothing options. The tranquil sounds produced by a white noise machine might also help. If that’s not an option, consider running a fan instead.
You might also try engaging in calming activities before bedtime, such as taking hot baths, practicing meditation, or sipping on herbal teas. Try pairing your bath with a calming CBD Bath Bomb. After all, studies are showing that a high concentration of CBD may be able to help relieve stress and tension within the body, so a bedtime bath accentuated with CBD might be just the trick when it comes to how to sleep better.
We know – that’s way easier said than done. And yet it’s so vital to how to sleep better that we’d be remiss not to recommend it! Think of it as putting away your worries for the evening. Some will resurface the following day, when you’re well-rested and better equipped to deal with them. But other worries might just float away, never to return after all.
Try journaling, where you write down your concerns before bed as a way of setting them aside. Do it in a physical notebook instead of a screen to mitigate light before bedtime. Meditation and breathing exercises are a great way to calm yourself as well.
In fact, researchers say that one of the root causes of insomnia is actually anxiety. If you’re able to tackle anxiety and stressors, one step at a time, that is likely to have a positive effect on your sleep.
Most people have heard of melatonin, the naturally occurring hormone closely associated with the sleep cycle and sleep regulation. It helps your body adjust the circadian rhythm we mentioned earlier, helping to refresh when your body naturally awakens and begins to feel tired. Melatonin is available at most major pharmacies and grocery stores, an easily accessible over-the-counter sleep remedy.
But melatonin’s not the only all-natural sleep aid out there. More and more research is being conducted on CBD’s potential ability to aid with sleep issues. In one 2019 study, it was found that sleep scores improved within the first month in 48 patients taking CBD. Our CBD Night Gummies and CBD Night Oil combine CBD’s potential to help with root causes of sleep issues with melatonin’s sleep-cycle effects to offer the benefits of both in one simple dose.
As always, consult your doctor or a health professional before introducing new supplements or nutritional products to your routine.
When it comes to wanting to figure out how to sleep better, we’re right there with you – rest assured. Try incorporating some of our tips and you might just find yourself waving goodbye to tossing and turning. ]]>Read on to discover what triggers stress for moms, how wine is used to navigate that stress, and why moms have become more open to healthier wine alternatives.
There is no real answer to this question because mom-life is ever-changing. Nearly 9 in 10 moms are stressed and overwhelmed at least once per week, with 62% saying they are stressed every day.
The #1 cause of stress for American moms is managing finances (63%). This comes as no surprise.
Moms are planners. From taking kids to school, having a social life, having a work balance, and making it all run smoothly- they’re magicians. Finances are something that everyone thinks about, and moms micromanage. Everything in life costs money, and as the family unit that makes the world spin, moms tackle the finances too.
However, some stressors decline in pressure over the years, such as sex life. Our study shows that the younger the child, the more mothers feel stress about their sex lives - with 33% of mothers of infants reporting stress around sex. As children grow into teens and take off for high school, the statistic drops to only 21%; a small victory for moms!
One peculiar variant in stressors is location-dependent. Moms living closer to cities are more likely than rural moms to want to reduce or eliminate the amount they drink; they are also more likely to be looking for alternatives to wine. Rural moms reported feeling more stressed out than city moms as well. Still, every mom that we surveyed could agree on a host of issues, including - keeping the house clean (62%), asking for time for self-care (57%), and raising children (56%) being amongst stress triggers.
The top health goals for mothers include: reducing anxiety (74%), improving mood (69%), and losing weight (61%). Calories consumed from drinking wine are considered what nutritionists call “empty calories” as they do not provide any sort of vitamin or mineral content.
Furthermore, drinking too much vino can cause you to intake more calories than you burn, contributing to weight gain. For example, a single glass of white wine can come in at 124 calories, and who stops there?
Instead of pouring a glass of vino to destress, let’s take a look at a healthier, holistic alternative, CBD.
Much of the common misconceptions about CBD come from the fact that people just do not know much about it. Isn’t it illegal? Doesn’t it get you high? Negative on both counts.
CBD is the abbreviation of cannabidiol, the non-psychoactive part of the Cannabis plant, also known as marijuana. Our study discovered that 27% of moms say they don’t know enough about CBD to try it. Some moms (23%) have confusion about brands of CBD, others (22%) wonder if it would help their stress, and around 18% of moms fear they don’t know how to use it correctly.
When the product first hit market shelves, many people confused it with THC, the psychoactive part of the flower that makes people “high.” Contrary to popular belief, products with CBD are not illegal to own, and you’re able to find them at a reasonable price at most holistic health shops.
For those in positions with drug testing regulations, you’re also good to go! As long as the product has COA lab tests showing it is below the legal limits for THC (the psychoactive element), it is unlikely for it to show up on a drug test. Companies are even starting to roll out more CBD products for consumers exploring ways to reduce anxiety and stress. Nowadays, moms can choose from oils, lotions, gummies, capsules, and creams to combat stressors. The possibilities are truly endless!
Pour up the red wine, it’s me time! Right? Well, search results don’t lie, moms are on the hunt for a healthier alternative to their common nightly glass of wine. What can CBD provide that wine just misses the mark on?
Our research found that 55% of moms report drinking alcohol as their form of self-care and relaxation, but with some other self-love goals in mind, wine might not be the answer they’re looking for.
As a matter of fact, 4 in 10 moms state they would like to ease up on their drinking intake to lose weight and boost energy levels. 71% of mothers who use CBD say they use it to relax. Authors from one study say it may be helpful for reducing soreness and inflammation in the body; another cites how it may help ease some gut-related issues.
In contrast, a recommended CBD dose is between 2-3 drops of oil under the tongue, one to three times a day, depending on the person and their wellness goals. With a drop of CBD weighing in at only 9 calories, these numbers pale in comparison to the 100+ calories in a single glass of wine. Mothers who already use CBD do so to lose weight, improve sleep, and improve health. In a 2016 study, researchers carefully monitored CBD and its effects on immature fat cells (preadipocytes). They discovered how CBD plays a role in the breakdown of fat and how it can boost the activity of mitochondria, increasing the body’s power to burn calories. So, not only is CBD nearly void of calories, but consuming it can also help many mothers burn fat.
Many companies market CBD as a way to reduce anxiety and stress, and while it may raise some skeptics’ eyebrows, modern science shows data backing up those claims. It looks like a win-win for CBD! What do you think?
As CBD continues to become mainstream, more people are seeing CBD as a healthier replacement to a glass of wine, and for good reason. Not only is it easier on the body and mind, but it’s also easier on the pockets. Wine heavily impairs people’s ability to make sound judgments and be available in terms of emergencies, something that is essential for parents. It can be a counterproductive force to popular goals and even cause some of the anxieties moms are wanting to eliminate. Overall, CBD acts as a calming agent to de-stress, relax, and catch up on that good sleep all many busy American moms are missing.
Highline Wellness surveyed 771 moms in the United States who drink wine at least once per month. Survey respondents have at least one child age 18 or under living in their household. The results in this report are from an online survey fielded via a panel in January 2022.
Our team worked hard on this study. If you enjoyed this report and would like to share it, please link back to this page in your coverage.
]]>But sleep issues are all too common. Maybe nothing else has worked for you, or maybe you’re just curious about trying a different approach. Whether you’re a total CBD newbie or just new to trying it for sleep, we’re talking to you today. Keep reading to find out everything you’ve ever wanted to know about CBD sleep aids!
For many people, doctor-prescribed sleep medication is helpful. But like any prescribed medication, there are often unwanted side effects, such as morning grogginess. This is one reason why people turn to natural solutions, such as CBD. CBD is a compound that is found naturally in the cannabis plant, which truly puts the natural in all-natural. There are a few types of cannabis plants, but hemp is the one that CBD is usually derived from, which we’ll discuss in more detail below.
Melatonin, the hormone that regulates the sleep cycle, is the most commonly used all-natural, OTC sleep aid. You can find a bottle of melatonin capsules at any pharmacy (or online, of course). Melatonin helps your body adjust the circadian rhythm, promoting natural wakefulness and signalling a tired feeling at the end of the day. Melatonin is an easily accessible over-the-counter sleep remedy, available at most major pharmacies, grocery stores, and online, of course.
Melatonin and CBD as a sleep aid, combined, makes for double the all-natural remedy. This is why we’ve paired the two in our CBD Night Gummies and our CBD Night Oil. (Keep in mind that it’s always wise to consult your doctor or a health professional before introducing new supplements or nutritional products to your routine.)
Back to hemp! The Farm Bill of 2018 legalized the use of non-THC cannabinoids from the hemp plant grown according to the specifications laid out by the legislation, meaning that hemp-derived CBD (the only kind we use at Highline) is perfectly legal! It’s also legal to travel with CBD oils, gummies, and creams – read our blog about flying with CBD for the specifics.
Hemp is a type of cannabis sativa plant; another type is its arguably more famous cousin is marijuana. Hemp is the form used to harvest CBD precisely because hemp naturally has high concentrations of CBD, which is not psychoactive and doesn’t get you high. Marijuana, on the other hand, contains higher levels of THC and is well-known for its psychoactive, psychedelic effects.
CBD is not habit-forming and does not produce effects that would lead to potential dependency. One study discovered that individuals easily tolerated up to 1,500 mg daily, with another review confirming that no negative effects were found among individuals using that same dosage for four weeks. This 2020 study is specifically on chronic pain rather than sleep, but their conclusion that CBD is a well-tolerated and safe natural compound likely holds for CBD as a sleep aid, too.
Our blog post on how to choose the right CBD sleep aid for you has more information on dosage, too!
Research is ongoing, but CBD’s burst of popularity has led to an increase in scientific studies as well. These initial studies point to CBD’s potential to help with a variety of sleep issues and disorders, including insomnia and REM sleep behavior disorder.
Let’s start with insomnia, that dreaded state of inability to fall asleep and/or stay asleep. Currently underway, there’s a new study of CBD and THC used by folks who have insomnia as diagnosed by a doctor. This study aims to evaluate the effects of a single dose of cannabis-based medicine on sleep in those with chronic insomnia, shedding more light on CBD as a sleep aid.
A major reason why CBD for insomnia may be effective is that it targets a root cause of insomnia, namely anxiety. Anxiety is closely tied to insomnia because many people who struggle with sleep have anxiety about said struggles. CBD may be able to calm and provide balance to the nervous system, thus supporting its use to combat anxiety. One study found that about 80% of participants reported decreased anxiety within the first month of CBD use, alongside 67% of participants whose sleep improved, too. These results are exceptionally promising!
A quick note to point out that another root cause of insomnia and/or poor sleep is physical pain; studies have found that CBD can help users with pain and soreness, especially if other treatments are insufficient or not possible.
REM sleep disorder is a more specific issue that CBD may be able to help, too. Typically seen in older individuals with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, this disorder leads folks to utter sounds and make gestures during the REM stage of sleep. (REM stands for rapid eye movement and is one of the two stages of sleep. We cycle through both as we sleep.) One study found that patients who were experiencing symptoms 2-7 times a week showed a decrease of once a week after they began taking CBD – just as promising!
Smaller studies have shown positive outcomes from CBD oil to improve sleep too. One example involves a young girl who was treated with CBD to combat post-traumatic stress disorder and poor sleep. Over the course of five months, both the quality and quantity of her sleep improved.
Ultimately, more research is needed to provide even more conclusive results, but the current studies point to a bright future for CBD as a sleep aid.
All of these effects are most likely possible thanks to the endocannabinoid system, a biological system that interacts with cannabinoids like CBD and promotes homeostasis, or stability, within the body. The ECS is crucial in the maintenance of a variety of functions, including mood and appetite, but the one we’re concerned with is sleep.
Sleep is just one of many functions that contributes to internal stability within the body. Because the ECS has receptors that specifically interact with cannabinoids, CBD has the potential to tip the scales toward balance when it comes to a number of the system’s functions, including sleep. When something occurs to bring the body out of balance, the ECS is triggered to help bring it back to its ideal state.
Poor sleep naturally brings the body out of balance. If you’re consistently having trouble falling asleep, it’s possible that CBD is able to further encourage or promote the ECS to bring your body into the balanced state that it ultimately desires.
The future of CBD sleep aids is looking ever more bright. ]]>So, does CBD get you high? The short answer is no. CBD does not get you high. But obviously, the question comes from a valid place, so let’s get into it!
If you’re here, you probably know what CBD is, but let us remind you. CBD is short for cannabidiol, the non-psychoactive, non-intoxicating organic compound found in hemp, a variety of the Cannabis Sativa plant. Hemp used to be known for its many industrial and agricultural uses, but now it’s even more famous thanks to the growing popularity of CBD.
THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the compound that does get you high. THC is found in marijuana, whereas CBD tends to come from industrial hemp. Where it gets confusing is that they both come from the same species: Cannabis Sativa. But the difference in compounds has to do, at least in part, with industry. The thick stalks of industrial hemp provide the material for rope and clothing, among other things. Years of selective breeding has led hemp to naturally produce much less THC. Marijuana, on the other hand, has always been the source of the cannabis that people smoke to get high – or these days, as in the case of medical marijuana, for pain-relieving reasons too, among others. Because CBD can dull the effects of THC, selective breeding throughout the years has led to a concentration in THC in marijuana plants.
The times have been a-changing. All forms of cannabis were made illegal in 1970, but that’s no longer the case. While marijuana is still illegal on the federal level, medical marijuana is now legal in 36 states and even recreational marijuana is legal in 18 states. These guys will get you high.
But what about CBD, which doesn’t get you high? Thanks to the good old Farm Bill of 2018, the use of non-THC cannabinoids from hemp plant, grown according to the specs provided by the legislation, is now federally legal! A few states (Idaho, Iowa, and South Dakota) have their own state restrictions against CBD, but federally speaking, it’s legal everywhere!
One of the specs laid out in the Farm Bill is that all CBD must comply with the legal threshold of 0.3% or less THC contained within the products. This is the key to why CBD does not get you high, especially if you’re buying from verified and reputable companies such as Highline. A simple way to make sure that the products you’re buying contain 0.3% or less THC is to check the Certificate of Analysis (COA), a lab test that is essentially a list of compounds within the product.
If you’re here, you know that CBD is, of course, not just a plant that people smoke, like marijuana. You can find CBD in everything from gummies, oils, and other edibles to topical products and bath bombs. Will any of this CBD get you high? The potency rule applies here, too: if the products are made from CBD grown according to the legislation, they will not get you high. In fact, to put it into perspective: the amount of THC needed to create high feelings is usually over 1%. Thanks to lab testing and regulations, which all reputable companies and brands will follow, legal CBD products shouldn’t even come near that threshold.
As we hope we’ve made clear, people don’t take CBD in order to get high. The popularity of CBD is growing in large part due to the fact that it’s an all-natural, over-the-counter alternative to other medications that do have addictive properties. While studies around the effects of CBD are ongoing, some of the major wellness aspects that attract people to this compound include:
As with any other nutritional products or supplements, be sure to consult with your doctor before making changes to your lifestyle. But you can rest assured that no matter what else, CBD won’t get you high!

Whether you’re rooting for the Bengals or the Rams this Sunday, we could all use some hangover tips as the Super Bowl approaches. Keep reading to find out what we’ve learned about CBD for hangover relief and why you should try it!
If you’ve read any of our blogs, you’ve probably come across the endocannabinoid system, or ECS for short. A biological system in the body, just like the respiratory or immune systems to name only two, the ECS has its metaphorical hands in a variety of bodily functions and processes. These include everything from sleep and appetite to mood and memory.
The reason that CBD is able to have the effects it does within the body is through interactions with the ECS and its system of endocannabinoids and cannabinoid receptors. The effects that CBD has are positive, tending to help the body restore balance. Alcohol, on the other hand, also interacts with the ECS, but in the opposite way, potentially causing serious imbalances in the ECS. Given this, is it possible that CBD for hangovers can actually help?
The key is to understand that nothing will cure a hangover, but CBD may be able to alleviate some of the symptoms that are connected with hangovers. Some of the research which points to this possibility includes the following:
As with any other supplement, it’s always best to check with your doctor prior to trying CBD for hangovers or any other reason – especially if you’re taking any medications!
Whether you’re trying CBD for hangover relief or any other reason, one of the easiest ways to ensure you’re using quality products is to check the certificates of analysis (COA), which shows the results of third-party lab tests and will show exactly how much CBD is in the product.
Once you’ve made sure that the CBD is reputable, it comes down to a matter of preference between gummies, oils, and topicals.
At the end of the day, while CBD may be able to provide some relief, the best attack against a hangover is to pair CBD with other methods of prevention:

]]>This scenario is all too common, but it doesn’t have to be. Enter CBD sleep products! Whether you’re a total newbie or just didn’t know that CBD may help with sleep issues, it’s time to consider how this all-natural method might just be able to help you fall asleep and stay asleep.
Poor sleep isn’t just an annoyance that keeps you from having an enjoyable or productive day. The list of unwanted effects goes beyond a lack of energy to encompass everything from an inability to focus, a weakened immune system, and worst of all: anxiety and depression.
The thing is, you’re not alone: 70% of adults in the US are not getting a good night’s rest at least once a month, according to the CDC. (They even go so far as to call it an epidemic!) The reasons for this run the gamut, but most of us can relate to working long hours and spending too much time on our cell phones. (Hello, doomscrolling!)
Many of us are also probably familiar with the most common tips for improving sleep:
But what about when these methods aren’t cutting it? You want to try a sleep aid, but you’d prefer something that’s all-natural. You’ve likely heard of melatonin, the hormone that regulates the sleep cycle. You can find a bottle of melatonin capsules at any pharmacy (or online, of course). But there’s another all-natural method that may help with sleep issues: CBD!
More and more people are turning to CBD sleep products for battling insomnia and other sleep disorders. One of the reasons that CBD for insomnia may be effective is by targeting the root causes of insomnia, which can include physical pain and anxiety.
More specific sleep-related research has found that CBD may be able to help with REM sleep behavior disorder and excessive daytime sleepiness. According to the Sleep Foundation, some people who use CBD for chronic pain report sleeping better, with initial studies of CBD and sleep disorders suggesting potentially helpful outcomes.
In addition to its potential ability to help target anxiety and pain, CBD sleep products are an attractive all-natural alternative to prescription medications because you get all the benefits without the dreaded morning grogginess. Win-win!
Now that you know a bit more about how and why CBD may help sleep, the next question is naturally: which CBD sleep product is right for you?
One of the main differences between gummies and oils is that gummies will have the same amount of CBD in each dose, whereas oils allow you to get more or less depending on how much you fill the dropper. CBD sleep gummies also must be digested and then metabolized before passing into the bloodstream, so they take a bit longer to work.
Many CBD for sleep gummies –including our CBD Night Gummies – are also formulated with melatonin, the naturally occurring hormone that regulates sleep cycles. When used in combination with one another, the calming effects of CBD may be able to enhance melatonin’s ability to induce quality sleep.
We recommend taking CBD gummies 1-2 hours before bed. Start out with 1 or 2 gummies, then work your way up or down depending on your body’s reaction and needs.
As we mentioned, your body can absorb oils more quickly, which makes CBD sleep oil the go-to choice if you’re looking for a fast-acting option. Oil is the most effective delivery of CBD, as the absorption rate is said to increase by 20% when taken under the tongue. If you’ve never heard of taking CBD oil like this before (also known by its fancy science term: sublingually), it’s simple: all you do is fill the tincture to the appropriate graduated marking and squeeze under the tongue. Then let the oil absorb for 30 seconds and voilà!
CBD oils can also be mixed into food and drink (yum, a splash of mint in your chamomile tea!) but it will work faster when taken under the tongue. Take the oil 1-2 hours before bed if you’re adding to food/drink and 30 minutes before bed if under the tongue.
In our CBD Night Oil, which contains no sugar but does have a tasty mint flavor, one full dropper contains 16.6mg of CBD and 5mg of melatonin. Because of how CBD oils are taken, you are able to adjust dosage amounts, as opposed to gummies which will have the same amount of CBD in each gummy. But when it comes to CBD Night Oil, do not exceed one dose per night.
While there is no CBD sleep-specific topical product that we’re aware of – at least, not yet – there are some other forms of CBD that are so relaxing, you might inadvertently end up drifting off to a comfy sleep after indulging. CBD-infused bath bombs, fitness creams, and body creams are all relaxing and soothing ways to indulge in self-care that taps into the potential restorative powers of CBD.
When you’re feeling more relaxed overall, you may just find it’s suddenly much easier to drift off to a cozy, comforting, quality sleep. Still have questions about CBD? The past two years have been rough on the whole world. We’ve witnessed all the ups and downs, and we’re hopeful that this coming year will finally bring more ups than downs. The rollercoaster of reality has also put into stark relief just how many people are dealing with the most common issues that affect all of us: anxiety, lack of sleep, muscle tension.
CBD has come so far in the four short years since federal legalization, but there’s so much more we can do. In our first three years as a company, we may have made some mistakes but wouldn’t change our path for anything. Everything we’ve been through has shaped who we are today, leading to an amazing community of customers that are improving their quality of life with the help of our products.
Even so, many people dealing with sleep problems and persistent anxiety still don’t know that CBD may be able to help. Effective advertising in this industry is not as clear-cut as it is for just about any other type of product, due to strict laws and regulations. These are par for the course in a field that is still relatively new, but it means that we’re even more reliant on our customers to spread the word.
Quite frankly, we would not be where we are without our community of amazing customers. As a young start-up in an increasingly popular industry, our community has been absolutely instrumental in our growth and success. We know that in order to live up to our side, we need to continue making products that help people feel better. We take that challenge very seriously.
As we look ahead to the future, we couldn’t be more excited to continue growing alongside our incredible community. The Highline team is growing, too, with amazing new team members that will help us achieve our goals and continue delivering value to all of you, mentally and physically.
We humbly invite you to join us as we enter our fourth year. We’re in this together. We wouldn’t change that for the world.
With gratitude,
Chris Roth
]]>It’s a new year and new goals should be on your horizon. From stressing less to finding your new favorite way to stay fit, we’ve shared our take on some classic New Year’s wellness resolutions that never go out of style. Today, we’re zeroing in on new goals to help you improve your sleep and live a more well-rounded life in 2022.
When it comes to the new year, new goals centered around analyzing your sleep are both easily actionable and can lead to some intriguing data for you. First off, sleep tracking is super simple these days thanks to apps that anyone can download, such as Sleep Cycle, Sleep Genius, and Pillow. Thanks to the information gathered by these apps, you can grow your understanding of your particular sleep needs. Your phone can gather information about levels of deep and light sleep, which you can in turn use to adapt, improve, and optimize how you sleep.
Everyone loves a good personality type quiz, from enneagrams to the 16 personality types identified by Myers & Briggs. But did you know that there’s a sleep-specific typology, too? They are called sleep chronotypes and in layman’s terms, they describe your level of alertness at different times in the day and offer a guideline for when to sleep based on your internal clock or circadian rhythm.
To learn your chronotope, keep reading as we break down the four main types. Once you know where you fall, consider how you might alter or update your schedule or routine in order to maximize your natural sleeping patterns.
Most people fall in this category, which refers to a sleep and wake cycle that matches up with the sun. Bear chronotypes often wake up and fall asleep with ease and are most productive before noon.
This chronotype struggles to wake up in the morning. Their energy peaks in the afternoon. Wolf chronotypes most closely align with the classic night owl.
Lion chronotypes are the seriously early risers. They wake up easily before dawn and are most productive in the early morning, until noon. Lion chronotypes tend to hit the hay early as well.
If none of the above sounds right to you, you’re most likely a dolphin chronotype. Dolphin chronotypes are sensitive to environmental factors and may struggle falling asleep if there’s too much light or noise. But they have a peak window for productivity, too: usually from 10am to 2pm. (If you work through lunch, you might be a dolphin!)
Just knowing your own chronotype might help you better structure and understand your sleep schedule. But you can also use the knowledge to tweak your lifestyle, such as setting your alarm for even earlier in the day if you’re a lion or finding ways to alter your environment to encourage better sleep if you’re a dolphin.
We’re calling it now: naps are going to be the next big sleep trend in this new year with new goals. Between an increasingly chaotic world and the fact that more people than ever are working remotely, the concept of how to optimize a daily nap is becoming more and more appealing.
Well-timed and well-primed daytime naps can actually improve your overall sleep, causing you to be more alert during the day as well as more well-rested at night. Daytime naps can help you fight fatigue, give your immune system a boost, and even reduce stress.
Keep in mind that the ideal nap is a short one. According to Healthline, “When you nap for 10 to 20 minutes, you enter into the first and sometimes second stages of sleep. That’s just enough to refresh you and get the benefits associated with napping.”
Do you consistently struggle with falling asleep? Consider embracing the art of relaxation in the new year. Some of our favorite techniques include deep breathing, gentle yoga, listening to calming music, and taking soothing baths. For even more chill vibes and a sense of calmness, combine these activities with night gummies and CBD oils. If your preferred method of relaxation is a good soak in the tub, pair it with a CBD Bath Bomb for the stress-relieving potential of CBD alongside rich essential oils, botanicals, and minerals to hydrate and nourish the skin.
Often, underlying causes such as anxiety can be at the root of insomnia or other sleep issues. Natural sleep aids such as CBD and melatonin can be a huge help. Especially when coupled with relaxing activities, you can effectively trick your body into a more peaceful state.
When you’re well-rested, you have more energy to focus on all those things you never seem to have the time to try. Well, 2022 is your year to go for it! Painting, writing, candle-making – it’s time to branch out and try something new in the creative realm. Not only can this be a form of stress relief, but it can also help you be more productive during the work day by activating different parts of your brain than you normally use. For another take on this new goal for a new year, try cooking or baking. If you’re someone who normally relies on takeout, it might be fun and rewarding to explore simple recipes. If you’re practically a chef, go big or go home with more challenging attempts.
If you’ve been wondering about the hows and whys of Cannabidiol (CBD), this is the blog for you! The key to this puzzle is the endocannabinoid system and we’re here to share some information about what it is, how it works, and more.
Simply put, the endocannabinoid system is a biological system in the human body, just like the nervous system, respiratory system, circulatory system, immune system, etc. The endocannabinoid system is composed of endocannabinoids, cannabinoid receptors, enzymes, neurons, and neural pathways.
You’re likely familiar with enzymes (proteins that help certain reactions occur in the body) and neurons (nerve cells). You also probably know what cannabinoids are, because that’s what our beloved CBD is. To refresh, cannabinoids are the unique organic chemicals (usually just called compounds) produced by cannabis plants. In plants, like hemp and other forms of cannabis sativa, these compounds are more specifically known as phytocannabinoids. Humans and animals also produce cannabinoids in their bodies – see where we’re going with this? Those, of course, are known as endocannabinoids.
The final piece is cannabinoid receptors, which are probably the hardest to explain in non-science terms. The most important thing about receptors is right there in their name: they receive and transmit signals within the body. Located all throughout the body, cannabinoid receptors are most closely associated with appetite, pain, mood, and memory. (Hmm… why does that sound so familiar?) The two main receptors are known as CB1 and CB2 and when they are “activated,” the body can bring itself back into homeostasis (balance).
So what is the endocannabinoid system involved with? Mainly the processes related to those we just mentioned, including motor learning, appetite, cognitive functions, stress responses, sleep, and physical exercise.
The cannabinoid receptors exist to interact specifically with human-produced endocannabinoids, but phytocannabinoids like CBD are so structurally similar that the ECS interacts with them, too. The overall goal of the endocannabinoid system is to create and maintain homeostasis, or balance, within the body; CBD seeks out these stressed receptors and helps bring them back
into balance.
Although more research needs to be conducted into the intricate connections between the ECS and cannabinoids like CBD, it’s clear that the existence of the endocannabinoid system plays a large role in the potential benefits of CBD. *A short list of these potential benefits includes supporting pain relief, help with anxiety disorders, aid with insomnia and other sleep issues, and promote stress relief and muscle tension, among other medicinal and calming effects.
CBD oils and CBD gummies are two common ways to tap into the power of the endocannabinoid system, but it works topically as well. When CBD cream is rubbed onto the skin, it triggers a reaction with the receptors in the endocannabinoid system. Because the endocannabinoid system is oriented toward achieving balance within the body, the interaction between CBD and the receptors works toward that effect, supporting homeostasis and pain relief in the process.
*Whether you’re yearning to optimize your sleep patterns, relieve everyday stress, or deal with pain, CBD’s potential to support the endocannabinoid system makes it an ideal all-natural ingredient.
