Tips for Cooking with CBD Oil
Don’t Heat It
CBD oil should not be heated over direct heat. (So don’t use it to fry an egg.) You can gently heat CBD oil if necessary, but it’s best used in dishes or dressings that don’t require heat.
Incorporate a Fat
You’ll achieve optimal results cooking with CBD oil if you use it in recipes that already contain a source of fat, like butter, milk, or coconut oil. This way you will be sure your body is able to get all of the CBD goodness.
Add it to Your Recipe Staples
We’ve provided some simple recipes below, but the easiest way to incorporate CBD oil into your cooking is to find creative ways to put it into things you already make on a regular basis. Do you prefer oatmeal for breakfast? Mix it in! Or maybe you enjoy a cup of tea before bed? Stir in some oil! Make it your own, and don’t be afraid to experiment!

Coffee
For those of us who need a little extra boost of energy and calm in the morning, CBD coffee is the way to go. (Our partner Danielle Bernstein of WeWoreWhat uses our Mint CBD Oil in her morning cup!) We created our own special cup of coffee, for when you want an extra-special morning.
Ingredients
- 8oz coffee (fresh or cold brew, or sub 1oz espresso)
- Milk (half and half, heavy cream, or a non-dairy milk)
- Your preferred dosage of CBD Oil
How To
- Using a frother*, whip your milk and CBD Oil together until it becomes frothy.
- Slowly add your frothed milk to your coffee.
- Sprinkle cinnamon or cocoa on top for that café feeling!
*Note: If you don’t have a frother, you can use a whisk, or put your creamer in a french press and plunge up and down until it reaches your desired consistency. Also note that alt-milks will not foam as much.
